I enjoyed my firehouse dish and the server was friendly. The food came out fairly quickly. I'd eat here again if I'm ever in the scarborough area. You can sit anywhere there's an open table and the menus are already there. If your tight on time this is your place. The hashbrowns were seasoned really nicely.

You enter in the vicinity of the bathroom. The smell of Lysol permeates, then dominates. The food might have been good served hot. Had, a pancake and a corn beef hash omelette. Below average. Did I mention we went at 9:00 Saturday morning and including my wife and there were four people in the restaurant. Once we left there were no customers. Keep driving and if you see this place go past fast.

Had the meat lover's omelet, comes with homefries and toast, would highly recommend, one of the best meat lover's omlets I've had. I liked how all the meat inside was cut up small. The cheese was inside instead of on top so it was nice and melty. I left feeling very full, if you go away hungry, it's your own fault! The prices are very reasonable and the service was great.
Great fast diner. Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. You seat yourself if you can find a table, if not there are classic diner stools in the front. Food was great. They offer breakfast potatoes a few different ways, I chose shredded. Eggs Benedict had a perfect runny yolk. Look for their specials for breakfast and lunch.

We were sad to see Meldgie's close, but happy that Tommy D's is keeping their menu alive (other than some name changes and new additions, it's literally the same). Overall, everything is comparable to Meldgie's. Between the diner affordability and great food, it's hard to beat this place. The wait can be a bit long depending on the day -- and you will definitely want to beat the tourism crowd on Fridays/Saturdays, and the church crowd on Sundays.

The food is AMAZING. We ended up going here 3 mornings in a row over Labor Day weekend because it was so good and we couldn’t stay away. Highly recommend the breakfast quesadilla, but truly everything on the menu is good.
