I had one of the best smoked brisket sandwiches here, and many other menu items looked just as good. And they are able to handle gluten free diners with a good gluten free roll to have sandwiches with.Dietary restrictions: They handled gluten free very well.

Great location with great views. Service is a bit impersonal as they just have delivery staff to auction off your food and just place it on the table. No follow up from anyone. If you want something, you have to order it yourself. The Beach Dog used to be the very best on the island. Then they changed out there casing dog with a couple of limp dogs. So disappointing. But hey great views. Not sure if I’ll be back. Enjoy!

This place is going downhill. Yeah it’s got great views. But it’s dirty, table not cleaned, and they have no waitress. You have to stand in line at the bar to get a drink!!!! And food. One person at the bar taking orders for the whole place!!! And, 10 people in line to order- ridiculous!! Yet, they want to charge the price of other restaurants that take more pride in their appearance and the customer experience.

The Surf is a restaurant located on Block Island, Rhode Island. It has been in business since 1969 and is known for its fresh seafood, live music and stunning views of the ocean. The restaurant is located on Crescent Beach, and the outdoor dining area offers stunning views of the ocean. The interior of the restaurant is also charming, with exposed beams and a nautical theme.  The bathrooms are spacious and nicely themed. The Surf serves a variety of seafood dishes, including lobster, fish, and clams. They also have a great selection of pasta dishes and salads. The Surf is a popular spot for both locals and tourists alike. It is a great place to enjoy a great meal.I would suggest the clam chowder and onion rings, you will not be disappointed.Vegetarian options: Ask the serverKid-friendliness: YesParking: Tiurist can walk thereWheelchair accessibility: Around the hotelDietary restrictions: Ask the server

This place was awesome. Great appetizers and entrees. The lobster roll was ridiculously good. The BBQ chicken thighs sandwich with potato salad, also hittin hard. This place had some really great atmosphere for couples. I was there with my fiance and she absolutely loved it. We got a deal for two hours on the mopeds and spent at least 45 min here . Service isquick and the food is delicious! Drinks instantly food coming right after ??

This is part of the lark hotel chain at the Block Island beach club (formerly The Surf). They've updated their rear outdoor seating area with couches & longe chair's creating a beautiful ambiance for sunset cocktails. You do not need to stay at the hotel to enjoy yourself here. There is a walk up bar and you can also order food and have it delivered to your seating area as each table is numbered. The margarita and strawberry lemonade cocktails were delicious.

I did not enjoyed eating at this restaurant, in order to be seated they took our phone number and couldn't give us an estimated time so my family and I waited for an hour and 10 minutes to be seated. You have to order yourself so if you have a question you have to wait until maybe some waiter walks by and they didn't even know the answers when asked about the menu and of course you have to tip them at the end but I don't even know why. You can order only food and then for the drinks you have to walk to the bar and get them yourself and then if you want water for the table you have to go to the front where they have a water dispenser so you help yourself. Then another 20 to 30 min to get the food, they serve you everything on paper and disposable cutlery. Good luck cutting the steak!! And the food was a small quantity and not very tasty. I only gave them 2 stars because of the view. I do not recommend this place at all.

Two words- SKIP IT! Wonderful view but thats about it. Basically a self serve restaurant at full serve prices. I can only attribute the lack of service to being short on labor.

Love that you can grab a table and order food from the bar and it is delivered to you. Great views, great service and the food was amazing. Tuna ceviche was spot on and Mahi Tacos were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing afternoon snack or early dinner.

Awesome view and while you do have the food at the bar, it is worth it. Drinks were delicious - rum punch and strawberry basil lemonade (vodka) and the food was outstanding. The pulled pork and pulled chicken thigh sandwiches and the summer panzanella salad was so fresh and tasty. Highly recommend!

We tried the street corn which we thought could use a little more toppings on the corn but the charr was good. Fries were good nothing special. Got one beer. Would come again.

Not my favorite on block. You have to order from the bar and don’t actually get served. It’s serve yourself everything, from waters to silverware to ordering your own food. For the higher prices and then you are expected to tip on your meal when no one is even taking care of you, not worth it. Food is mediocre at best. There are far better options on the island with just as great views!

Delicious, casual and relaxing lunch with friends. While I wasn’t a fan of the walk up and order your food set up they have, the woman who took our order was very friendly as was the bartender who made our drinks. The food did come quickly to the table and was very tasty. I would recommend getting the single hot dog with fresh salsa topping, no ketchup needed along with their signature margarita, yum! We’ll definitely visit again.

Great views for lunch! We went on a Saturday and got a table for 4 pretty quickly. I had the charred broccoli bowl and it was decent. Others were content with their food too... typical block island where food is average and prices are high.. but I'd say this place is better than most. Mud slides are made with ice cream and delicious!
