Good food. Loved the flavors. However when buying a large portion I was kind of disappointed by the size. Service was on point and fast. Standard Chinese restaurant aimed at to go orders

i got hungry for chinese and a friend recommended this restaurant for delivery. they deliver on base which is amazing. i ordered the kung pao chicken, roast pork lo mein and scallion pancakes. everything is 10/10 so far except for the kung pao chicken. i'd give it a 7/10. the flavor is amazing but i ordered it to be spicy and the spice level did not deliver at all and that's why i decided to take 3 points off. rather than that, i highly recommend ordering from here.

Dinner Special #6 (dinner special prices range from $12.25-13.95 and come with roast pork fried rice): Chow Mein, boneless spare ribs, and Crab Rangoon. -- Tasty flavor for the boneless spare ribs 5/5 -- I've never had chow mein noodles before, I'm not sure what I was expecting...I ended pan frying some the next day for lunch and then dinner, with some of the rib meat chopped up into it. Much better. 2/5 -- Crab Rangoon: the dough is chewier than what I've normally had, but there's a hint of sweetness to it...I think if they were eaten fresh out of the fryer, they'd be crispier, but by the time I got home (and also had to walk my dogs), they weren't crunchy, but the filling is nice. 3.5/5 -- roast pork fried rice: good flavor but a little disappointing that there wasn't a few more ingredients that you'd typically get in a fried rice (and maybe this is the quick & cheap version because it comes with a combo, but the fried rice menu items include the fried egg, carrots, peas, etc.) This is also something I ended up eating for several more meals the next day, along with some more rib meat. 3/5 Moo Shu Pork: came with thin pancakes (I don't think they are made in house). Great favor, but a little too saucy (but worked well when eaten with side of white rice...or maybe I didn't eat them right, I usually don't put rice on the pancake?) Huge portion for $12 (forgot to take a photo until after I ate, but the entire container was packed full -- ate three separate meals from this)! 4.5/5 Four stars overall, taking into consideration the taste and value...can easily eat 2-4 meals from one combo or entree. I've gone twice now (it's only two minutes from my house, so kind of a default when not wanting to drive far); next time I may try something like the orange or Gen Tso chicken.

I wouldn't say this is the best Chinese food I've ever had. But it did the job. They were able to delivery onto the navy base. The prices were very fair and you got a lot of food! I wish the flavors were a little better. The menu is very large with many options. If I was ever stuck in king hall again I would order this again

I don't know why this restaurant doesn't have a higher score. We had dinner a few times and every time we had a great dinner. This place has good food.

These really are good friends.I've been living in Newport for about 8 years now, and while all the others have changed their recipes or management for the worse, this place has only ever gotten better. Their dumplings are by far the best in Newport and my favorite item on their menu. The interior might be a little shabby, but these people are incredibly nice and accomodating, and the food is great.

I do not know how this restaurant received 3.8 stars. To give this restaurant a fair shot I ordered multiple items off the menu in the span of 3 weeks to make sure it wasn’t just a bad day in the kitchen.Ordered: Pot stickers, beef short ribs, orange chicken, chicken lo mein, and sweet / sour pork. The pot stickers were slightly below average as they were not packed with much filling. The orange chicken should’ve been called the orange batter because the chicken was shaved and hammered so thin that I had to verify if it even existed at its core. The chicken was noticeable in some bites because it was jerky-like, screaming to me that it was either old or fried, frozen and refried. The orange sauce was overly sweet with barely any orange or vinegar in the mixture making you feel like everything was covered in pancake syrup instead of orange sauce. The attached picture is of the sweet and sour pork which was the most disappointing of all meals. The sweet and sour sauce was not sweet or sour because it tasted like they cut half the mixture with water. The breading on the pork tasted like it was fried in old oil that was used to fry fish. The pork and batter were so bland that it was hard to eat since the sauce was equally devoid of flavor. The rice….I have never seen rice look so dark yet incredibly flavorless. It really makes me wonder what they used to stain the rice since it seems like soy sauce wasn’t used.Beef short ribs, dry, tough, but decent marinade and flavor than the other items listed before this. The chicken lo mein was the best thing I ate; I could taste the flavor of the dish. My only complaint was that it was SWIMMING in sauce which I drained before eating. This restaurant had extremely fast delivery which typically means that a lot of food is precooked. The lack of seasoning in their food is staggering for a Chinese restaurant and I have never had Chinese that tasted so bland.

It's not the best but it's also not bad. If you are looking for authentic, this is not the place. If you are looking for your average Chinese American food then this should suffice.

This is the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. It’s past bland, is actually bad tasting. I had an awful aftertaste that wouldn’t go away, even after drinking twisted tea lol.

Boiled dumplings in my opinion are the best in Newport! Hearty and flavorful. Fully recommend!

This place is a dump! I witnessed cook cutting chicken on cutting board then cut veggies right after on same board without cleaning or sanitizing it. Avoid this place unless you enjoy food poisoning.

Losing my mind about how good this food is. Flabbergasted by the quality. The dinner combo can easily feed me for 3 days but I'm starving and typing this as I'm eating. I cannot stop eating it's so frickin good I almost took a bite out of the styrofoam box. Whoever is in the kitchen did not come to play. Delivery was quick, easy, and friendly. I regret not getting a picture of my order before I started demolishing it. -COULD NOT BE MORE SATISFIED. BEST TAKE OUT I HAVE HAD IN A LONG WHILE-
