Excellent Lobster Bisque soup and Lobster Roll! It was a beautiful day in port. They have a food truck at the dock, but we decided we wanted to sit down. It is about a 10 minute walk. There was a short line to order. It was nice and relaxing to enjoy our lunch on the outdoor patio area. They were a bit short staffed, as they were impatient with answering questions. But the food was fabulous. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We had lunch at the Newport Lobster Shack. It is a food truck that was located on the pier just across from the condo that we stayed in. We had lobster rolls and French fries and both were great. In addition to the food truck (with a nice seating area), this property also sells live seafood and has great views of the harbor. And it is a working pier. In Oct., the food truck was only open 4 days per week; otherwise, we would have gone more often.

Not great. It’s possible their lobster rolls are fine, but being from Maryland and a bit homesick I ordered a crabby patty. Tasted a bit like what I’d imagine a crab cake sandwich from Long John Silver’s would taste like. Super disappointing. Not to mention I ordered for delivery, and it took about two hours to get here. I had to call them before they actually put the order in - I used post mates and after a bit over an hour I called to see if they received my order. She Said ‘the machine was off’ but they’d get on it right away.I’d probably spend your time and money somewhere else. Not terrible, but certainly not great. Especially given the number of great seafood spots around here.

Fresh off the dock, the Shack offers 2 lobster dinners for a great price. I’m embarrassed and proud to say I ate 3.5 lobsters FOR LUNCH. My husband enjoyed all the sides and wonderful lobster bisque. Best value in Newport

Very overrated and expensive for mediocre food - the large lobster roll was actually very small, and the potatoes in the chowder were not done. Very disappointed in my pricey lunch.

It was expensive for trailer food, really expensive for any food, given the fish in the fish and chips was tasteless and so soggy it fell apart when touched by the fork.

Used to be reasonable on price but no longer fits the original business model of reasonable priced lobster at picnic tables. The food is decent, but if you order a whole cooked lobster they are often warm and not hot since they cook them in bulk. They also require you to purchase 2 lobsters called the lobster special (What's so special about $42 for 2 cooked lobsters). You could go to a sit down restaurant and spend less. Bring back the old tradition of a reasonable price or at least put a single lobster back on the menu. Requiring you to buy 2 is a marketing scheme and in reality they double the profit margin of a crustacean that is costing them about $6 each.

Well that was some fresh lobster right there... served with a bottle of water and platic itensils. Definitely a quick, delicious bite ans worth a visit.
Would be a great place if they had seafood in their seafood.... Clam cakes, tiny piece of clam and all bread. Crab cakes... all bread. Shrimp chowder had shrimp! I mean a shrimp, like 1 single baby shrimp.And what's up with the bathroom? Staff just standing around while it had no toilet paper and was absolutely filthy!!!! I did like the paper plates sign though, nice touch.

I think this place has some of the best seafood around. The lobster roll was a great size for the price and tasted delicious. I believed it really was Newport's Freshest lobster roll as advertised! Very much worth it. Got the calamari too and that was great. Service was good. Love the atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

The customer service and the fact that even those unfortunate souls who are allergic to crustaceans ( lobster) had a GREAT lunch. My husband finished his lobster roll and the rest of my fish from my fish and chips. This will be our go to Lobster place our next visit!

Tucked away next to the water is the lobster shack. Saw recommendations online and it was worth every penny. It’s a food truck that serves lots of lobster and seafood. It’s a bit pricy but soooo worth it! The lobster bisque and lobster bites were so fresh and delicious. Food came out fast and we sat outside on the water eating. You can tell why this place is crowded. Despite its location more away from everything people still come for the food! They sell live seafood as well for those who want to bring home. Worth a trip I promise!

The waterfront venue was more exciting than the food. Being on the water makes you feel that you are getting the daily fresh catch. Maybe you are. The food was bland. The high cost was expected. Nothing I will rush to get back too.
