The hibachi was amazing! We had steak and salmon and they were cooked perfectly. I had the yellowtail sushi and it was so fresh and flavorful.

I would have given 3.5 stars It is a bit dingy inside so the ambiance was so-so. The service (waitress and the gentleman behind the grill cooking) was good. I enjoyed the show put on by the chef behind the grill. He had a way of getting everyone involved. In case you don't know, there are no cocktails here. This is generally a problem for me as I don't drink beer often. We had some good sake and beer and made the best of it. We got a couple of sushi rolls before the hibachi food. The rolls were really good. I would not have expected that. The hibachi food (lobster, shrimp, scallops, salmon, and chicken) was OK. If they used less salt, it would have been judged better but it was a little overpowering for most of us. It was a nice night out. Worth a try.

Love this place. Closest place to my house I go here all the time. They are fast and reasonably priced. I've never been disappointed with a meal. They deliver really quickly too.

I've always had a great meal at Tokyo House in Newport! The staff are friendly, they are accommodating to my food restrictions, the restaurant recently got a remodel and looks good as well and you always know what you are getting with the food! 5-star!

My friends and I during a visit to RI were originally planning on going to another sushi place but because it was closed, we ended up here. And boy were we lucky to find this place! The sushi here was very good. We ordered the Newport roll, Tokyo house roll, Kado roll, and the Dragon roll and they were all so delicious! I loved the uniqueness of some of the rolls-- for example , I never had sushi wrapped in a yellow soy bean sheet before and folded into a tear drop shape (the Tokyo house roll) and the sweetness of the Newport roll with the mango was different and refreshing. The staff here are very attentive and friendly. Overall, this place was a hit for us!
