Their espresso was really good. We ordered an old fashioned and a latte. Their latte art is the best out of any other coffee shops around the area! I will say it twice, really good coffee!!Parking: Street parking available. There is also a church behind that you could probably park at but not 100% sure.

Some of the best coffee we've ever had. We live in Providence and come here about once a month. Their regular drip is so complex, flavorful and aromatic. A true ode to the coffee bean. Easily the best coffee in the state. Their breakfast sandwiches and burritos are great too. Hearty and they use Just Egg.

I finally got to try the Simple Merchant Coffee in Newport. Got the espresso tonic lemon drink and a burrito. The drink was alright, not sure what I was expecting but I should've just gotten a regular drink like a latte. The burrito was quite good; it had a bit too much cheese maybe. It was filling and came with a packet of chips. Overall good experience, would def come back and try their other coffees. The ambiance is warm and inviting and the service was great.

Truly a hidden gem in Newport! My wife and I are constantly on the search for a new coffee shop to relax at. We came across this shop by accident and what a wonderful surprise it was. Although a bit steeply priced, the coffee was some of the best Ive had in the state. The day we visited they were serving Little Wolf, a coffee roaster on the north shore (also worth a trip!). I had a plain black and my wife a latte along with a knead donut. Everything including service was top notch. The best part, they allowed our dog! Cant wait to return!
