We had a relaxing lunch while walking around the wharf area. The staff was friendly, and food was great. I would recommend if in the area.

Cute little place in downtown Newport.We haven't tried many things since we moved here because it's so overrun with tourists, but this place was surprisingly good.I had the beef brisket sandwich and loved it. It was almost $30, but still delicious. LolWe'll definitely give this place another try.

Great atmosphere and staff. Pulled pork platter was awful . Comes drenched in their vinaigrette based sauce . It’s just extremely wet and lacks anything Smokey. The cornbread is very good !

Our waitress seemed to be too busy. We asked for water and did not get it until we flagged her down and asked again. Was not very friendly either.She also did not ask for our fare rewards info so I did not get credit for this meal:( But, the food was great and was nice to celebrate my husband's bday there. Wondering why you ask for an occasion on the reservation? I put bday but no response about it at the restaurant.

Prepared tables were dirty, plates, and cutlery as well. Ordered drinks and appetizers, giving a chance. Had to ask 3 times to have dirty plates replaced. Never happened. I've been informed that will be soon to take the mains order. Managed to eat appetizers, and order was never placed as no one turned back. In the end, we decided to skip the mains and go somewhere else. I am sorry, there are many more better places to eat. BTW, it wasn't even busy that time.

We were very warmly welcomed here with our small dog. The food was absolutely delicious and our server was attentive, friendly, and all around wonderful! We will absolutely be back next time we're in Newport.

Very average BBQ. Not even sure they smoke their meats. Pulled Pork was drowning in sauce ( I guess that is a way to hide poor execution) and Ribs presented almost no smoke flavor. Mac and Cheese was fine, but lacked any distinct cheese taste. Service was quick and pleasant on such a hot and busy day. Don't recommend.

Great flavors etc. definitely in the high price side for BBQ but location also makes a difference.Was disappointed though as my wife and myself ordered takeout to eat outside near the water. It was a long time since we both got away together from our 3 toddlers/infant. I specifically noted on the order to include utensils and napkins. Spending 120$ or so for two people I thought this was a reasonable expectation, however this did not happen. This resulted in us eating the smoked wings , which were amazing, but we couldn't eat our meals till we got home much later.Overall great food but attention to detail was lacking in this case. I would definitely eat here again though as mistakes do happen.

Wandered in for lunch and had a pleasant enough time, but was ultimately disappointed by some aspects of the experience. Food was okay -- baked beans were a highlight and brisket was decent, but salad and beverages left a lot to be desired. Employees were VERY friendly and welcoming, but service was a bit choppy -- after ordering drinks, it took us about 20 minutes to place an order for food. Also would have preferred air conditioning, but understand that's a choice and a perq -- not a requisite. I want Smoke House to be awesome, and think it can be -- but felt there were some edges to smooth over first.

Difficult to find someone to seat you. The food service was fast, almost too fast. We had our appetizers almost five minutes before our drinks showed up. Pulled pork nachos were passable but nothing special. Our main course was a “special” of babyback ribs. They were terrible, dried out, over cooked, with bbq sauce poured over the top. Menu was very limited - you would think that what they did have would have been well prepared. Not so much.

Unfortunately this place was bad enough to warrant and rare review from me. The brisket had zero favor, zero moisture, and the "crust"/smoke ring was almost non-existent. Anyone who enjoys quality BBQ will hate the food here. The server was very attentive and atmosphere is nice.

She commented that they “tripled up her tables” or something to that effect. While ever other server had a smile she was frowning and scornful. It was unfortunate. We would have we enjoyed our experience much much better at a different table or at least with a different server. However the food was great!
