This place is soooo cute! Not what you would expect for a surf bar but very cozy in the winter! They had 100’s of Christmas balls hung from the ceiling. They have a private venu area very different! It’s hidden in the big building in the photos across from Red Parrot!

One of my favorite spots to eat in Newport! The ambience and interior design is phenomenal along with the amazing food and spicy watermelon margaritas! A plus for me is that they offer vegetarian options like the insanely delicious veg buff tenders.

This is our 2nd time. We came back for the food, which is good. The service was mid to poor, no checking to see how everything was, even though the restaurant was more than 1/2 empty. Our waitstaff was hanging behind the bar chatting it up. The bill was not presented, we were just told it was a certain amount, when asked we're told we couldn't receive one. Very strange & likely not the total truth. Step up your service or you'll lose good customers ☹️

Attended private event new years eve 23/24 at Surf Club and adjoining (anything but) Dive Bar.Very good food, service (esp Albert) and atmosphere.Great spot in center of town.

Our large group of nine, 5 adults and 4 kids enjoyed a huge spacious booth table. Plenty of room to sprawl out plus seating was very comfortable. Our hostess and server were wonderful and friendly! Great spot to enjoy some delicious local foods with a fun all things surf and water inspired atmosphere.

Great casual Bar and Restaurant.I had takeout, and while waiting, I had a Newport fog cocktail. It was delicious.I had the pork belly sliders and a salad for dinner , both very good.The bartender was very friendly.

Though originally seated at a table, the noise surrounding us made hearing each other difficult so when seats opened up at the bar, we moved to there. The homemade nacho chips and guacamole were very good, the ginger and garlic chicken wings were fairly good but the meatball pizza, totally disappointing. Why a pizza featuring meatballs without actually having meatball slices as a topping doesn't make sense. Instead, the pizza had shreds of meatball. The dough was soft and chewy. Service was great however. Finding parking was a major challenge.
Surf Club is always such a great and easy spot! Despite typically bring know for its outdoor space, inside downstairs has great ambience and a cozy atmosphere. The food and service is always great as well and I know I'll keep coming back!

The food was really good. Recommend the short rib sandwich. Sat at the bar and the bartender was in his own world not paying attention to us so we had to yell at him a few times for things such as a napkin/silverware and salt. Good food though and will go back.

Sat at the bar on October 7th. Both bartenders ignored my boyfriend and I. They went to two different parties that arrived after us at the bar. When asked if we could order the bartender smirked at us and sighed “yep be right there” and continued to help other guests. We ended up leaving. Literally the worst interaction I’ve had at a place and I work in the industry. Doesn’t seem like anyone is equipped to be running that place due to the staffs rudeness. Highly do not recommend.

When in Newport take the time to find this upscale pizza place with a chill vibe. Being from the NJ/NY area my family can be pizza snobs. Surf Club did not disappoint. We ordered a bunch, all were delicious, from the margarita pie to the arugula and prosciutto we left stuffed and happy. My kids got a kick out of watching the pizza making process through the glass windows and the bartender took care of us with delicious watermelon margaritas, YUM-O! Even my Dad who doesn't appreciate tequila loved it.They had the coolest merch, we're all back in NJ rocking our hats and sweatshirts. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the wings, don't miss this place when in town.
