There's nothing like sitting at the bar, watching the cook prepare your ticket and clearly seeing that you're about to be served a $100 ribeye and an $80 filet undercooked. I prefer mine medium well, my wife prefers medium. Mine was medium and my wife's was rare. If I noticed it from the bar, why didn't the cook notice it when he pre sliced the ribeye? He knew or should have known it was well under. Medium, in case you read thisTSK cook, is a hot pink center. Not bleeding on your plate. So when you cut this steak, you knew it was under. We both sent them back and you all know there's nothing better than a twice cooked steak. Then we watch the cook stroll over to the other cook a with a grin on his face to complain about us. We tipped the waitress appropriately because it's not her fault the arrogant cook doesn't know what temp to serve. When she asked how the meal was, I responded, it's not your fault and she responded, 'they try really hard here'. If you're going to try really hard to get it right, do it at Outback Steakhouse. Not when someone is paying $300 for a meal.

Too fancy for me. Didn’t understand most of the things on the menu, so probably should’ve known this wasn’t going to be my kind of place. Typical overpriced and underwhelming “boutique” kind of restaurant. Portion sizes were too small, I left hungry. The food was just meh, nothing special. Fluke was pretty flavorless. Cookies for dessert were cold and not any better than Mrs. Field’s packaged cookies. People said such good things about this place, but it was not for me- I am not fancy enough for this type of food! Would not recommend.

If Nora worked for the Federal Government efficiency could increase 100 times over. Until this happens you can find her talents at Thames Street Kitchen. Excellent food, above and beyond service.

Phenomenal meal! Easily our best meal in Newport. Great service, cool atmosphere. Everything was perfect. We came during a girls weekend and shared a couple of apps, filets, and side dishes. The sides are shareable. Our waitress recommended everything that we got and all of it exceeded our expectations. My only (and very minor) complaint is that the rolls are not complimentary, so if you want them then you have to order them. It’s a popular place for a reason, so make your reservation in advance! Highly recommend!

Best meal I have had in 5 years. The food is amazing! The service is spectacular. And I think it greatly underpriced for the value received. Not advisable to show up in shorts and tee shirt, most men were wearing jackets

TSK provides an unforgettable dining experience. The chef’s table seating offers an engaging view of the open kitchen, adding excitement to the night.

The service is stellar; staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about wine pairings. And the steak? Simply phenomenal! I savored the perfectly cooked ribeye, rich in flavor and incredibly tender.

With its clean ambiance and outstanding food, TSK is a must-visit for any steak lover. I can't wait to return!

One of my favorite restaurants in Newport. The caesar salad is a staple here and you can never go wrong with the mission cut steaks. Also they have Lurisia sparkling water which is rare to find, love that.

we were visiting town and got lucky with an early dinner reservation at the chefs counter. highly recommend, ordered the mission cut and lobster tail, and the CAESER SALAD was the best i’ve ever had. skip on the cookie dessert bc it was such a letdown for an otherwise phenomenal meal (husband liked it tho)

We booked this somewhat last minute and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Our reservation was for 8:30 and the restaurant was seemingly in party mode already when we arrived. I gave a 3 for atmosphere because it was VERY loud inside and we asked to move outside but it was fully booked. But the food and service warrant a 5 star review. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. Simple but with a lot of depth and balance of flavors. We got the hash browns, carrots, roast chicken and NY strip. Our server was also very nice, accommodating to my food allergies, and checked in often during our meal despite how busy the restaurant was. I would come back to Newport just to eat here again!

Hands down one of the best meals in Newport. From start to finish, every aspect is satisfying. Started with the delectable caesar salad which is finely calibrated for perfect texture and taste in each bite. Took the last ribeye under 40 oz, had a 34 oz one. Cooked to absolute perfection with roasted garlic and shallot to add at leisure. Highly highly recommend.

Meal was cold. Way overpriced! Mashed potatoes or whatever they were suppose to be were horrible and the green bean casserole was terrible. At $10 a side the size they give you is not shareable. The ceaser was delicious and the mission cut steak was very good (just cold). Too many good restaurants in Newport so won’t be coming back.
