I had been here once before about a year ago and it was delicious (brisket plate, bbq pork Mac & cheese and smoked wings). This time, my husband got the brisket plate and I got the burnt ends sandwich. The sandwich and fries were tasty, just expected more meat on the sandwich. The brisket was excellent, but the sides were lacking; Cole slaw was flavorless and the black eyed peas seemed undercooked - the pickles are delicious! I don't recall the poblano corn bread having so much corn and tasting exclusively like poblanos, but maybe the recipe changed over the year. Drinks are tasty - happy they have mocktails!

We have now been here two times and most recently visited on a rainy night this past month. Our first visit we only had appetizers and though my husband loved his I don’t even remember what I ordered. But we all have blah good days and often it has nothing to do with the restaurant and more our own stuff we are dealing with. I think that must have been the case with my first visit because the second time was sooooo good.Atmosphere: Cold rainy and winter - means sitting inside and I’m so glad we did because the bar and booths are totally cozy and intimate.Service: Our waiter was also the bartender and he was exceptionally attentive, warm, and gave us great tips on ordering.Drinks: I had one of the bourbon drinks and it was DELICIOUS ? and it looked good tooEntree: Hunny had a classic southern dish and enjoyed every bite!!!! I had the Salmon dish with a veggie side — and fries and it was quite memorable as one of my favorite Salmon dishes in town!!!I highly suggest you check this place out for some southern style fare! Note: summer time it’s hopping but don’t be fooled outside seating isn’t necessarily better when the inside is so casual and cozy!

Came for my birthday on a Monday in January. The food was great and just what I wanted. Since it was a Monday in January it was easy to get a reservation, it may not be that easy in the summer.

We came in for wings, since we had the RI food fights passport. It was freezing out, so I had a hot toddy that was delicious. It had a clove studded lemon which I love. We had wings obviously, which were amazing. They were smoked. Crispy outside and juicy inside. They put all the sauces on the side for us. Next we tried the fried chicken skins. I had never had them before. They were so good! Then we ended with some mesquite tots. Overall everything was excellent. They have a really cool menu, excited to come back. Our server Olivia was so personable and helpful!Dietary restrictions: Great for gluten free

Stopped in for a hot toddy and some apps. The chicken wings were really flavorful and juicy. Good smoked taste if you like that. House hot sauce and dry rub were a good bonus. Fried chicken skins with their bbq sauce were awesome too.

This was my 2nd time that my husband and I had gone here. We decided to get burgers, and we both got soup. We wish we were able to sit at a table, but it was so crowded that we just decided to sit at the bar. The service was a little but slow , but overall, the food was really good. I would definitely come back and have another bowl of soup. The burger was kinda heavy after when I ate it.

We always have a great time and meal at Wharf Southern Kitchen and Whiskey Bar. The food options are very unique and delicious especially the crispy chicken skins with Carolina BBQ sauce. Don't miss the pork belly tater tots and the warm pimento cheese with crab! Our server was very helpful, pleasant and attentive. The atmosphere is casual, relaxed and fun. The drinks were wonderful and inventive. Don't miss out on a great adventure at Wharf Southern Kitchen and Whiskey Bar.

Cool small spot with good food at a reasonable price. Our waitress was amazing and even gave us other solid recommendations for our time.

We stopped in for dinner on a winter weeknight and were one of a handful of parties dining in. As someone who spent several years in North Carolina, the banana pudding, "Carolina" bbq sauce, and Nashville hot sauce did not seem to be consistent with the authentic southern versions of those items, but they were decent for being up North. The waitress was friendly and attentive!
