Good service and lots of food options. The margarita really didn’t taste like a margarita- but I did enjoy that it was light and refreshing with a Tajin rim which I requested. The desserts are HUGE! The chicken parm is a huge serving- enough for 2 people! I requested more sauce. Fun place, game night was going on in another area from where my friends and I were- we could hear it- very lively, but not obnoxious in the early evening.

DONT ORDER THE CHICKEN NAAN!!I just wanted to write this review to specifically advise against ordering the Chicken Naan. I'm not sure what they we're thinking when they came up with this concoction they call a sandwich. The flavors do not mix well really at all, I was in the mood for a chicken sandwich after finding out that the ribeye melt sandwich wasn't available on the brunch menu (2:00 p.m.) If the manager / owner happens to read this review I would definitely recommend adding that to the brunch menu Since It basically is there in the form of an omelet. The naan bread was warm but the chicken was cold and pretty flavorless, It tasted like unseasoned day old rotisserie chicken. Bacon is a pretty random addition and kind of goes unnoticed, The apple is very random and added nothing to the sandwich besides a strange texture, The sweet potato puree just does not go with everything else. The only two things that kind of matched was the sweet potato puree in the maple syrup glaze. But this whole "sandwich" just doesn't make sense and I highly advise you stay far away from it.
I got the chicken Naan and it was a mistake. Looked and tasted like cat food. French fries and drinks were good. Would go back just for Olivia culpo definitely not the food

cute place & liked the staff but I found the food to be mediocre - I got the burrata chicken alfredo -which didn’t stand out from any other chicken Alfredo I’ve ever had- (no sign of burrata other than the name on the menu lol) I think more attention to detail could be paid. I didn’t even bother eating my leftovers. Definitely edible just nothing special! Also, for what it’s worth, a bit $$$$

I'm updating my original review because of my experience tonight. I love Back 40, and we used to go relatively frequently; the food and cocktails are great. I normally have great experiences with the waiters and waitresses, and tonight was no exception (honestly it was one of the best) until the check came. We used a gift card, which is unusual for us, but it was a Christmas gift. The waitress, who had been exceptional up until that point, felt the need to highlight the total before the gift card and add a large pink arrow to it to make sure she was tipped properly. It felt really crappy to be treated like an idiot. I get it, people in the area might not always pay attention, and tip inappropriately with a gift card, but not everyone does. I was planning on tipping with the cash I had on hand (that was well above 20% of the total) because of how good the service was. I ended up tipping 20% on the card and left dinner feeling crummy. It left a horrible taste in my mouth and I don't really want to go back. I'm leaving my original overall 5 star review, because one frustrated server doesn't represent the entire restaurant, but I also want them to know when a server is alienating customers. If inappropriate tipping with gift cards happens so often that servers resort to this, maybe management should find a way to make sure the original total is on the card receipt.
Wow! Such a fun place. Wish we had one local. My wife and I wanted something light and decided to split the salmon shown in the photo. They literally half portioned it, cooked and plated it separate without sparing on the presentation! Wow. Hands down one of the most perfectly cooked salmon I’ve had. Season was great. We would recommend to anyone. Ambiance was great with plenty of seating and a kind server.

Went to dinner with four people and only one good meal and that was a salad..very disappointed. I had fish tacos and it was literally a fish stick on top of a bunch of filler. Hamburger was a soggy mess with soaking wet bun that fell apart right away, same with a chicken cutlet sandwich. It had to eaten with a knife and fork and the chicken was way over cooked. Maybe just a bad night?

Food has gotten much better over the last couple of years. We've been several times now, and it's been very consistent. It's usually always busy, which is a good sign. Staff has always been pleasant.
