The food was good, some dishes are scrumptious, depends on what you like. I was crazy about one of the dishes they received national recognition for, my friend likes it a lot. Great service. Our waitress was super friendly, easy to talk to. The coffee was just average for me, but it was certainly better than no coffee. Would definitely return. Plus they have lots and lots of mini muffins. Who can resist?

Jiggers South is always a great place for breakfast! We enjoyed our meals, very much, as usual. Our waitress was lovely and attentive. Unfortunately, we sat out on the porch & there was very little heat which made it very uncomfortable.

Good portions. Friendly staff. It's a bit pricey for breakfast food. I gave the food 4 stars because, while the hash was tasty, I wasn't a big fan of shredded corned beef. I am accustomed to it being chopped or ground when made into hash. I would definitely go again. ?

Went to Jiggers South again on Sunday 12/3/2023 and ordered my usual favorite - Gingerbread Pancakes- and was sadly disappointed. They lacked their usual "Zing" and tasted very flat. Don't know if the recipe has been changed or not but feel very let down.

WOW, WOW, WOW!! I never knew about this place. My aunt brought me here after giving me a lift from the airport back to Newport. They do breakfast all day. We arrived at 1:45pm (they close at 2p), so we were mostly expecting to be told they weren't serving. However, the server (Mae-sp?) was more than delightful and accommodating and sat us right down. We sat in the cute covered patio, which was cutely decorated with an autumnal vibe and had nice ceiling heaters! She gave excellent suggestions. I had the corned beef hash benny and my aunt had the sweet potato and bean breakfast burrito. The food was outstanding. Mae, never once made us feel rushed. She asked if I wanted more iced coffee when I was near the end of my meal. She astutely saw I was almost done and put the rest of my ice coffee, with a refill in a to go cup (This was an excellent touch). The inside seating area and the bathrooms were very clean. I met the owner coming back from the restroom and she was delightful as well. I will make a point to come here from now on. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Side note: A gentleman came in at around 2:20 asking if they were still open. Another server greeted him and said unfortunately not-but she did go out of her way to let him know that perhaps he could get a soup or something not requiring cooking to go. He declined, but I thought that was a very thoughtful gesture. You just don't see customer service like this anymore.
Amazing food, except for the fact that my eggs Benedict had runny egg whites. Not sure how that's possible if the eggs were actually poached, which makes me wonder if they were just fried instead. Other than that, everything was great.
Went here for the first time on a busy Sunday,we had to wait but they where organized in the wait system,when we sat down the drink order was in and ready in minutes then the food order was fast as well and delicious,wide variety of food on menu definitely coming back!!!

I love this place! After a nice walk at Rome Point, We discovered Jiggers South for lunch. The service is excellent, the menu is really interesting and the food is delicious. I've always gone home with enough leftovers for a second meal. The eggplant veggie burger and their superfood salad is fanatastic!

Such a nice outdoor spot with kids. The waitress was super sweet, and they made my daughter French toast without gluten or dairy! I’ve never had a restaurant willing to make it with almond milk, and it was such a nice surprise! Coffee was good too!
