The calamari and the bruschetta was excellent but are meals not so much risotto was overcooked my octopus was over cooked. The lobster ravioli wasn't cooked all the way through which caused my girl friend to have food poisoning. Unfortuanlty with the food not being consistent I won't be coming here for while will change rating though and come back and give this place another try but can't recommend this place to any one.P.S my girl friend got food poisoning

Our first time there. Wanted to be outside on probably the last nice day of the year on Saturday 10/28. Our server was great she was very attentive. Food was great we had the tuna tarta and bruschetta for apps and I had tuna tacos (was able to substitute the cilantro crema with chipotle aoli) and my wife had the lobster roll. All of the food was very good. We will definitely go back.

We had lunch outside. The food is always topnotch here. Our server was very attentive. We had the lobster roll and the fish sandwich. Both were excellent. Prices are more reasonable than some of the other local places with good portions. One drawback is that they do not have handicap access bathrooms. They are on the second floor. If that is not an issue, don't hesitate to go here.

Our first time here and we loved it. Perfect blueberry cocktail, delicious bruschetta appetizer. As with most restaurants they were short staffed and busy but the service was great and we didn't care if it was slow. Sitting outside on the water in October is rare! Two of us had burgers and fries which we loved and I don't know what the others had but they loved their meals as well. Nice staff, great meal!

Neither a tavern, nor by the sea (a small cove plays the role), Tavern by the Sea is more of a modest café, and one should set their expectations accordingly. The staff shines here, carving out a saving grace with their attentive and courteous nature, which somewhat compensates for the indifferent (yet reliable) food. Tavern By the Sea finds its true strength in its ability to offer a cozy nook for outdoor dining.

Everything about our dinner was exceptional! The service was fantastic, the food was much better than expected (and we had high expectations), the prices were very reasonable, the wine selection was fine, and to be sitting outdoors with a water view was relaxing, refreshing, and scenic. The manager and waitstaff provided the perfect amount of attention. We love it here and will be back often!

I had a tavern burger without bacon. Noone ever makes bacon the right way. Burgers are always good but this will always be a fallback if I don't know what to get.
