15 Best Craft Breweries near Pawtucket

Crooked Current Brewery Brewery • $
560 Mineral Spring Ave, Pawtucket

“Went here for the first time. They have three beers on tap and the rotate flavors every month. This month they have fall flavors on tap. You can get beer served by the glass or do a flight. They also give small samples if you do not want to do a flight. I don't remember the names of the beers we tasted except one which was a Neapolitan which you could taste all of the flavors like the ice cream. One was a pumpkin ale. The beers weren't bad if you like ales. The place is very tiny but they do have seats outside if you go on a nice day. Definitely worth a stop“

Smug Brewing Company Brewery • $$
100 Carver St, Pawtucket

“I came here while waiting for a game to start at Untapped. The Be Fruitful Blueberry Sour was delicious and it was quite helpful that there was a food truck outside that catered to my hunger needs. I highly recommend this brewery and give it my golden stamp of approval! 5/5“

The Guild Brewery • $$
461 Main St, Pawtucket

“Really love this place. The atmosphere is terrific, great beer, staff is always friendly and dogs are always welcome. I only have one complaint, and it's why I can't give it 5 stars,. There's just way too many kids. Loud, annoying, sometimes unattended kids. Is it a brewery or a day care for Gen Zers?“

Foolproof Brewing Company Brewery • $
241 Grotto Ave #1, Pawtucket

“Cool little tap room and a pretty large scale brewery. Tried several of the beers and all were very good. Some of the names threw me off but I'm no beer expert. Bar tender was helpful and friendly. Tab room is pretty small, but it also was not very busy on a Saturday night around dinner time.“

Moniker Brewery Brewery • $$
432 W Fountain St, Providence - 6.3 miles

“My wife and I lived in Providence for about two years, 2020-2021, and we were very happy when Moniker opened that winter. It was still the height of COVID and we were ecstatic to have a dog friendly brewery open up just a few blocks from home. Little did we know that we would quickly become regulars - in fact, we ended up walking up with our dog Cinna on what we found out was their friends and family night prior to opening and they were kind enough to serve us a beer sitting outside. I think we might have been the first customers??We frequently reminisce about our time in Providence and Moniker is one of the two places we always say we miss (even now, over two years later). I appreciate that they have a wide range of different types of beers and can have something that anybody would like - not just 10 different types of IPAs. I could always count on their Hefe, Marzen, Helles, and yes, the NEIPA.Next time we visit you will definitely find us sitting outside in the biergarten (probably even in the snow) sipping on a beer. Huge thanks to Brian, Ben, and their team for their great service and giving us a spot to feel like regulars!“

Ravenous Brewing Company Brewery • $
10 Industrial Rd, Cumberland - 4.84 miles

“1st visit to this brewery and was pleasantly surprised by the beer variety and quality. Place was pretty busy with customers and both rooms were fairly active with people watching the college football games and playing shufflepuck. The beer tenders were friendly and attentive. Will definitely recommend and return when in the area.“

Buttonwoods Brewery Brewery • $
530 Wellington Ave, Cranston - 9.09 miles

“Buttonwoods Brewery was exactly the atmosphere I was hoping it would be for a day of relaxation, good beer and doing some work on my laptop in a relaxing casual vibes atmosphere. My GPS originally took me past the front of the building and I had to turn around and just assume the entrance was located on the backside of my building, which it was. The brewery is in an old mill, the floorboards creaked (which I love) in this industrial setting. Eclectic seating and squishy sofas in large space that didn’t feel cramped. The Peanut Butter Stout and Sour were really delicious! I enjoyed how they offer 6oz pours. I enjoyed this place so much I came back twice two weekends in a row. Parking was plentiful in the back. Staff was friendly.“

“I love this place. Friendly staff, spacious, open, spacious, and most importantly, great beer! Fun place for a party or just to hang with friends and when I ask if they'll change to a specific college football game on a Saturday afternoon, they do!“

Origin Beer Project Brewery • $$
425 West Fountain StSuite 104, Providence - 6.26 miles

“Origin Beer Project is a craft brewery that opened in Cranston, Rhode Island in October 2020. It was founded by husband and wife Cheyne and Erika Tessier. Cheyne previously worked as a brewer for Cape Cod Beer and then Proclamation Ale Company before he accepted the position of head brewer at Buttonwoods Brewery. After a few years, Cheyne and Erika became interested in opening their own brewery. Unfortunately their timing was terrible; the pandemic had started and several deals to secure a location fell through. Finally they came up with the idea to open as an Alternating Proprietorship Brewery (or "alt-prop", tenant, or partner brewery). This means that there is an agreement between a host brewery and another brewery which can use their space and equipment when the host brewery isn't in operation. The Tessiers approached Buttonwoods' father and son co-owners Morgan Snyder Sr and Jr with the idea and the two accepted the proposal. In spite of the unusual business setup, Origin Beer Project quickly found success with their excellent repertoire of beers. Plans are currently underway for the brewery to open at its own location in Providence before the year's end. My son and I recently visited Origin Beer Project after we went on a long bike ride on the nearby Washington Secondary Bike Path. I decided to look and see if there was a good brewery nearby for lunch, and Buttonwoods came highly recommended. Origin has their own small space set up inside Buttonwoods' "Annex". One thing worth noting is that although they share the same location, Origin and Buttonwoods operate on two different schedules. On the day of my visit, I showed up to Buttonwoods taproom not long after they opened at Noon. Cheyne didn't arrive to start pouring Origin beers until 3PM, so make sure to check their hours before you go. I decided to order short pours of "Relentless Romanticism" (Citra Pale Ale) and "So Anyway" (Imperial Stout conditioned on Tonka Beans - a collaboration with Hive Beer). The pale ale was refreshing with excellent floral notes and the stout had a strong nutty flavor. I was very impressed with Origin's offerings and I expect great things from them in the future. I look forward to when they move to their own space!“

Narragansett Brewery Brewery •
271 Tockwotton St, Providence - 5.49 miles

“The Narragansett Beer came into fruition by 6 German immigrants in the 1890s; they combined $100k worth of funds to construct a brick brewing building in Cranston, RI. The beer gained popularity shortly after and it was the number one selling beer in New England. The building in Providence is beautiful with a balcony area. On a warm autumn day, we sat outside and enjoyed some brews. A few of my favorites were:Del's Shandy: reminded me of RI summers. I love the lemon flavor, it's refreshing!Autocrat Coffee Milk Stout: rich flavor that is sweet with hints of chocolate and toffee.Gourd Reaper Pumpkin Ale: tasted like pumpkin and spices; comes with a cinnamon sugar rim glass. This is perfection and tasted like autumn. They have many events and the taproom is spacious. The bar was clean and the beer-tenders are super awesome and friendly. There were plenty of parking spots during the early afternoon. Can't wait to go back soon!“

Long Live Beerworks Brewery • $
40R Sprague St, Providence - 6.88 miles

“I found Live Long Beerworks when I was searching for taprooms in Providence. I wanted to come to a place that was not a brewery restaurant and was a taproom so I could bring my own snacks and be in the environment of a place to lounge. The atmosphere was definitely what I was looking for, spacious with two seating levels to choose from, exposed brick and industrial vibes. I went for variety and had a flight. The sours were pretty good, wasn’t a huge fan of the IPA’s and sadly no stouts were offered as flight samples (can only). There was a food truck outside and a nice seating area. The staff was personable. Parking is on street. I’d go back again to try something on rotation from the menu.“

Providence Brewing Company Brewery • $$
10 Sims Ave Unit 110, Providence - 6.14 miles

“This taproom is one of several venues at the budding Farm Fresh RI Food Hub. It's open in the evenings five days a week and serves about a dozen brews, if I remember correctly.I enjoyed a flight of four that included a Best Coast DIPA, a Pound Town DNEIPA, a Set It Off lager, and a Chuck, Reboot pastry stout - all easily drinkable brews that were good reflections of their respective styles. Service from a female owner or manager was very gracious and welcoming, and although they don't serve their own food, they may have a pop-up vendor on site, or you can order from Tallulah's Taqueria right next door. The venue itself is decked out to resemble a cozy living room inside an otherwise modern, free-form warehouse venue: lower-lying couches and tables mixed with higher-topped tables and a bar counter. A welcome addition to the mix of offerings here at the Food Hub!“

“Have been going here for several years. The menu has a good variety, same for the selection in adult beverages. There is a full bar here with lots of beer choices. There is something for everyone here and the prices accommodate the budget minded as well as a more affluent spender. The service is reliable, and the atmosphere is busy. Don’t forget to order a Piezookie for dessert!“
