I visited Aguardente on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty full. It's a small, but cozy space. I liked how there was a lot of variety in tapas options. My friend and I ordered the Pasteis de Bacalhau (DELICIOUS.), the Batatas Fritas, (good dipping sauce, the Almondegas (spicy but flavorful), the Tula Fries, (fried plantains) and the Aguacate Relleno. Everything we ordered was good. No complaints. Very flavorful and filling. I love how they also have Curated Tin options, so you can try different tinned fish. Definitely good to try multiple tapas and enjoy a nice cocktail at Aguardente. I would definitely return for a small meal with a friend.

The drinks, the atmosphere and the tapas were AMAZING!!!!Parking: There are about 3 spots at the restaurant, so if you're lucky you can catch one of the 3 spots. If not, you can try and find street parking

Well it's been over a year since my visit to aguardente and I haven't had a dinner as exceptional as aguardente, can't wait to get back someday.

Service was good, it's a super small spot. The ambiance is nice. We ordered a few apps, nothing to write home about. The hibiscus margarita was great. I'd go back for drinks :)

We have lived in Providence for over five years but only recently went to Spanish and Portuguese tapas restaurants. (I can't believe that it took so long as we eat out regularly.) This on was the fourth in a couple of months. The place is lively and nicely designed with a good vibe. We started with two Margaritas and shared four dishes which worked out very well. The tacos nopal, aguacate relleno, costeletas borrego and batatas fritas were all delicious. In spite of being full we ordered a pastel de nata for dessert. And ended with another drink and an espresso. Our server, Kelly, was cheerful and attentive. The check was comparable to the other tapas we had visited. We enjoyed all of them and plan to return again soon.

[RUDE AND RACIST WAITRESS] Waited an excruciating 45 minutes to be seated, with no updates or acknowledgment from the waitress. When attempting to communicate and ask for updates after 40 minutes, we were blatantly ignored by a waitress who seemed to go out of her way to avoid us, only to imperiously signal us over from afar without a word of explanation afterwards. To add insult to injury, a white couple who arrived well after us was seated immediately, suggesting a deeply concerning bias in customer treatment and racism. This experience not only highlighted a glaring lack of professionalism and courtesy but also raised serious questions about the fairness and ethics of their service. Utterly unacceptable and deeply disappointing. The waitress in question appears to be blonde and I quote her "I'm a large girl".

Horrendous experience! The waitress was unbelievably disrespectful, treating us like inconveniences rather than customers. Not only did she make us wait an eternity for the table (~1hr), but she also ignored us every time we tried to communicate. It's as if she took pleasure in our dissatisfaction. Save your money and sanity - steer clear of this pitiful excuse for a restaurant!

Decided to stop by for a date luncheon not knowing if there would be an opening available as they do get busy with reservations and it was Valentine's Day Week. But luckily there was room on the patio. The outdoor patio is heated and extremely cozy. Comfortable chairs, and blankets available. Plants make it seem like you are on vacation. They specialize in small shareable plates and snacks which make it easy for sharing. Ordered cheese dip with bread and Spanish meatballs to start. Decided to go with the cactus tacos which was unique and just had to try. Espresso martinis and tres leches cake to finish the evening. Everything was delicious and delivered to the table in such a fast manner. Staff was friendly and helpful
