Simply the best - from ownership and management through the whole staff, this place is just fantastic. The bread … they supply it to dozens of restaurants, including some of the nicest in Providence - enough said there. I primarily get wine cookies for my company here, and they are terrific. I couldn’t recommend this remarkable gem more highly for baked goods, bread, and/or bulk/special orders.

I went 7/23 bought a lrg. Loaf Italian breed, spinach pies, pizza strips, Calzone. Came to $45.75 gave cashier 2 20'S and a 5 dollar bill when I went to get change she said I only gave her 2 20's reaching over the tip jar putting in the 5 dollar bill. I will never go back and she knows what she did. Shame on her.
This place makes awesome red wine biscuits. I literally couldn't stop eating them and ate a whole pack myself in one day! They are a must try! I was a little taken aback that, when told we just had some on a La Gondola ride, the woman working there questioned whether we were charged for them. While we weren't (at least not obviously...it couldn't have been built in the overall ride cost) does it really matter? The people surely bought them from Buonos so they were paid for, and the Buonos sticker on the package prompted us to go buy 3 more packs. That sounds like a win to me?! So a 5 star treat minus 1 star for the inquisition.

This bakery, 10 min from downtown Providence, is without question a Rhode Island treasure. Calzones of many sorts, bread, pizza strips, dough, and pastry are a must if your a local or from out of state! Do yourself a favor, make it a point to grab any of you or your family’s bakery preferences otw home from work, or heading back from vacation ? Buono’s will not disappoint…just be sure to check hours of operation
