We grabbed a coffee and a scone/croissant as we waited for our train, which was lovely. Staff was very friendly, and I asked some d*** questions that I bet they get tired of answering. They sell tickets for the MBTA Commuter Rail, but you need cash (or buy your ticket on the MBTA train w/a card). However, you can use a credit/debit card to purchase food there.

I have visited this Cafe La France location quite often as it's very close to my work and therefore convenient. In general the staff is attentive and helpful, and the food is good. I have had some mixed experiences depending on what I've ordered. In general the morning pastries are good, the breakfast sandwiches are solid, the non-breakfast sandwiches are generally good but some are better than others. Sandwiches served on baguettes are my favorites as I think the bread is much better than the other sliced bread options. There is a large variety of menu items, so you can probably find something you like off the menu!

Monday morning 10/18 /21at about 9 AM (being specific in case management reads and knows who was working). Wished for coffee while awaiting Amtrak train. Sure, it was busy at the couter, but no need for either of the two women servers with whom I interacted to have been brusque, unsmiling, unwelcoming. Not a "thank you" to be heard and one nearly tossed my two DIY cups at me. Also, despite the clear, posted and unequivocal MASKS REQUIRED station rules, one of them wore her mask down around her neck and frequently coughed into the crook of her elbow.

A nice healthy food option. Perfect amount of bread and portion size.I wish that black bean burger patty in the wrap was more grilled or provided on the side. By the time I received it, it became soggy. It was still tasty.

Finest place to grab something when in a hurry. The service is swift, rates are affordable, great mood. Would recommend to others

Extremely good sandwiches and espresso. Not what I would have expected at the Providence train station. If you arrive early or your train, get a bite here and sip a cappuccino.

This place gets rave reviews and, in fact, the food is pretty good for a railroad station restaurant. You can expect sandwiches, pastry, and such. Not much else to say except that the convenience factor is high and it's better than you'll get on Amtrak.

Awesome place for sandwiches in the Providence Train Station, and the service is outstanding. I was about to miss my train, and they literally ran down a flight of stairs to deliver my Malibu Turkey Wrap. I made the train and the wrap was delicious!

Waited 20 min for half a grilled chicken sandwich and clam chowder. I liked the sandwich (that's where the 2 star came from). It is close to my building but I got a cold soup after all that wait

The French dip is so! Delicious!!! After a dip of the bread into the broth, the flavors of cheese and beef merge together so perfectly. What a satisfying lunch.

I got myself a wrap and chai. Everything tasted decent but the lady behind the counter was extremely rude and does not know how to talk to people. Even though I work in the building next door, I wouldn't go back there!!

If you have a few minutes before your train the food here is much better than Amtrak's and also less expensive. And it you are going to Boston on the MBTA there is no food available. Very good for coffee, breakfast, a snack or lunch.

Literally any sandwich you could think of is on the menu. Make sure to read them all - and all of the specials - before deciding!
