This experience was completely horrible. The food was way too salty. Above that, when we talked to the manager about it, he simply took the plate away. We thought that he went to remake another one. Instead, we waited for almost an hour just to find out that he didn’t remake the dish. His attitude was also terrible.

My husband and I visited this charming restaurant based on a recommendation from his coworker, and we were not disappointed. From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. Our waiter, Leo, was not only attentive but went above and beyond to ensure our evening was memorable.Despite our dietary preferences, Leo offered fantastic suggestions, and though we didn't indulge in alcohol or pork, he surprised us with a delectable dessert, the Pot of Mousse, which was the perfect end to our meal.As for the food, we started with the Calamari & Shrimp, which were delicious (4/5), and the crispy sushi stole the show with its explosion of flavors (5/5). Moving on to our main courses, the Beef Tenderloin Risotto pleasantly surprised us (4.5/5), while the Boneless Short Rib fell slightly short of expectations (3.5/5).However, the highlight of our dining experience was undoubtedly the Pot of Mousse. The combination of dark and white chocolate mousse, complemented by hints of raspberry and mango coulis, and the delightful Cappuccino Tartufo left us wanting more (5/5).

Our experience was nothing short of amazing! Our server, I believe his name was Jake (apologies if that's incorrect) friendly, attentive and had perfect timing! Our dishes were fantastic and the kitchen was nice enough to alter one of the specials for us! Highly recommended if you're looking for a fine dining restaurant

Cafe Nuovo never disappoints! The food is incredible - the specials are always different and delicious!! The restaurant was very kind to accommodate changes to our reservation due to a flight delay. Brian at the bar is a gem!! We asked for our food to be boxed but didn't realize until driving away that we were never given the food.

The restaurant was good although it didn't reach up to great for us. We quite liked the salmon tartar. The beef tenderloin risotto and pecan bar were just decent.Also, the service was exceedingly slow at the beginning. Perhaps because they had an event in the private room? In any case, as it was a business dinner, the time it took to get to our order was unfortunately unhelpful.Note that the valet parking is pay as you will, whereas the parking lot is $11 -- so next time we'd rather do the valet!

We have been dining at Cafe Nuovo for over 28 years, and the food quality, service and ambience has not waivered once in all that time. I always say that Cafe Nuovo is one of the top restaurants in RI, then every time I dine there I am reminded that it actually is the best in RI! The sophistication of ingredients are perfectly balanced in every dish. A lot of ingredients do not make a good dish, but rather the chemistry of the few, and they are masters in the art of food chemistry. The presentation of dishes is extraordinary, right down to the most beautiful, (and tasty) desserts in RI. We are regulars of Cafe Nuovo, and never once taken for granted in over 28 years. If you seek real quality, and an authentic gastronomic dining experience, then this is the place!
Our waiter Vin, was excellent as was the rest of the waitstaff. The food was excellent as well. we ate at a leisurely pace and not rushed out because of the Valentine Holiday crush. Definitely going to return with guests to share the experience with them as well.

This was our 4th time , place was busy and we got a table as soon as we arrived. Once we sat down , various waiters saw us seating and took them 15 minutes to come to my table. Waiter was rude and inattentive. He kept serving and checking on other tables even chatting and socializing, but he hardly showed up at our table . He didn't even tells us about any specials. Everyone got bread as soon as they walked in , I had to ask for ours and it came during our meal. Food was great as usually. Make a long story we won't be going back , we felt discriminated for no reason , we are pleasant educated people and never showed any signs of confrontation for not being properly served.
We had a great dining experience! We ordered a special sausage & broccoli rabe it was ok. Homemade pasta was fantastic but it was a bit dry and the sausage was in pieces as opposed to ground....
