Nice music, nice vibes, & prices are fair. My bag was $47 & I got a pound of head off shrimp, a pound of mussels, & payed an extra $2 for their extra spicy hot sauce which was BOMB! I'm a really big guy & couldn't finish it all. Was a generous portion & good price especially for good sized pieces of shrimp & quality mussels. Had my mouth on fire but I couldn't stop eating because of how flavorful it was! Service was great as well. I drove from cape cod Massachusetts with family to eat here & it was well worth the drive & price!!

I'd give it 3½ starts (which rounds up to 4) because the waitress brought out the wrong order so I had to sit and wait for it to be made properly. A human mistake, sure, but that's inconvenient as seafood can take a while to prepare.

Came in on a Wednesday night. Not too busy but had a steady flow. Was promptly greeted by the hostess and sat in the dining room. Our waitress Debbie brought water immediately, and took our drink order. She was friendly and attentive but not over bearing and the only other woman working came to check on us while she was busy once. We decided on crab, shrimp and muscles w the hot Loui sauce. Coming from the south, I was shocked it actually had some kick to it. The perfect amount. Spent about $105 for 2lbs of seafood and 4 drinks. Will definitely be back. Thank you for your amazing service.

this was my first seafood boil experience at capt loui and everything exceeded my expectations!i walked in and was greeted by a friendly hostess and was promptly seated and provided water. the place was fairly clean, spacious, and the decor was industrial and seasonal (some spooky szn decor). i immediately noticed that they had immaculate taste in music because old rnb was playing the whole time and i was in such a mood. whoever picked the music on wednesday night needs to be in charge of music all the time.we came on a wednesday so there was a deal for a $20 lobster. the server had amazing rapport with us and gave us excellent recommendations. she immediately knew this was my first time at capt loui. we originally wanted to do a half pound of crawfish and half pound of shrimp in capt loui seasoning (cajun), but they accidentally gave us a full pound of each. needless to say there was a ton of food but we still demolished it so she def did us a favor lol! with an order of two whole pounds you get a free side (three pounds = 2 free sides, etc) so we ordered fries as a side. the boil includes potatoes and corn. i also ordered a strawberry lemonade in addition which imo was perfect to pair with the boil. the taste? *chefs kiss*. our server told us that the person who made our order was new, but the food still tasted amazing. we wanted medium spice and it was actually medium spice... a tolerable level of spicy. the seasoning was on point. at the end the total still came out to be more than reasonable, approx $85 incl tip for 3 lbs of seafood boil, for the both of us.the complimentary mouthwash in the bathroom was a nice touch.i'd honestly come back just for the service but with that much food and that price, i'm definitely coming back for more. capt loui providence was a great first experience for me and i recommend this for anyone who are craving some good seasoned fresh seafood for a fair price and excellent service!ps. there's parking in the back! drive through the side of the restaurant and the whole row in the very back of the lot will have designations for capt loui guests on it.

Dropped in over the weekend while the Columbus Day festival was taking place. There was no wait during prime dinner hours on a Friday night, the service was spectacular and the boil was so tasty. We got the mild lemon pepper seasoning with shrimp and king crab.It is messy but they provide bibs, gloves and wipes, plus all the tools you need to crack open a crustacean. Wish they had one of these in Denver!

The seafood was phenomenal at the price point. Truly, one of the better broils I have been to. We had a party of 3 and were able to try almost all of the seafood, NOT A SINGLE DISH DISSAPOINTED. The Cap't Loui medium sauce was our favorite hands down. Our waitress Bella was very attentive and polite and took care of every request. She was one of the better servers we have had in RI. The place was very clean and had complementary mouth wash in the restrooms, which was a nice touch. Will be coming back very soon. It's one of my favorite places in RI. If you are into seafood or would like to experience a traditional broil, this is the place. ?

THIS PLACE IS NOT A JOKE!!! While visiting Providence, I ordered from here two nights in a row. FIrst night I got the fried shrimp basket: fresh shrimp, crispy shoestring fries. Super delicious! Next night ordered the fried chicken basket. Got it delivered and it was as hot as eating at the restaurant. The seasoning was perfect: a little spicy and super fresh. LOVE IT!!! Eat here don't go anywhere else. You won't be disappointed
