For students or alumni, it's a lovely place to hang out. The coffee was delicious, and the staff were really helpful.

Fantastic. They made me the best iced mocha I've had since I've been back in the US, exactly to order, and the bagels are great. They have less wasteful packaging than most places these days, too; not super-eco, but they haven't completely given up, like most coffee places in New England. And there are lots of places to plug in a laptop and chill by a window. I'll definitely be back.Parking: I don't think this is a driving neighbourhood.Wheelchair accessibility: The building is a bit of a rabbit warren, alongside a bit of a hill—there may be wheelchair access, but it isn't obvious.

This was an excellent, college-operated cafe that had delicious calzones for cheap prices. Conveniently located and much faster than the other reviews on here would lead you to believe. I had an excellent latte and calzone for under $10 total that hit the spot exactly, check it out if you're in the area

A truly lovely café filled with the energy of RISD students. It is usually busy, so count for at least waiting in line for a few minutes, but the coffee and the pastry are really good. If you are not a student, i.e., a faculty or a staff member, please have some cash so that you can tip. There is no way to tip with a card (I think the contractor has to fix this).

It gets busy, but I really enjoy the chai and cookies. The workers there are so nice. Though the line can be kind of slow sometimes. :')

My favorite place! Meatball calzone the best!

I work at the RISD Museum so this is a very convenient spot if you're looking for decent breakfast/lunch sandwiches and coffee on Benefit Street. They have baked goods including breads, muffins, calzones, build your own sandwich options, and assortment of coffees and teas with options like chai, latte, etc. Depending on your choices, sandwiches can get to the $7-10 range and if you add a coffee it could get expensive. It's all about timing on if you're going to wait in an extensive line or not. Wouldn't reccomend if you're in a super rush and want something quick because kids will line up usually 9-10am and 12pm and you'll be waiting in a 15 minute line then 7 minutes for your order to be made. I find a toasted bagel with pb&j is one of the cheaper yet substantial option.

What a cute little cafe with delicious coffee and pastries! We were served by friendly and welcoming art students who created such a wonderful atmosphere and relaxing afternoon. Zak, the barista who made our coffee, was especially polite, efficient, and kind. We will most definitely be back next time we are in town! Thank you Carr Haus Cafe!
