Definitely on par with their sister store in Brookline. Can't get enough of that spicy miso Ramen. It seems like what they have in Brookline they don't in Providence. Wonderful staff and great cooks. The owner/ management did a wonderful job of training the cooks. Will definitely be back.

Excellent ramen. The Shoyu 1910 was particularly good. Well balanced bowls. Quality ingredients. Executed well. A pleasurable experience all around.

Smash the GPS button. This Ramen shop is excellent, super authentic food, seasonally rotating craft beer menu, all with super friendly staff! NOTHING like those instant noodles from college. If you have never had the genuine article do yourself a favor. : DI visited during a pop up where the owner had invited chefs from Japan to come and cook for us. They had shortened the menus two just two appetizers, and two different styles of ramen. One of which was limited to 50 bowls a day. It takes incredible confidence to run a menu with four items, one limited in quantity. The confidence was not misplaced. I had an amazing meal. The broth was very well balanced, nice and rich. Very deep umami flavor. Noodles were perfectly tender, eggs seasoned wonderfully, pork was cooked and cut correctly, portions were generous. Just outstanding. Nothing out of place.I will be returning, most likely as a regular. I can not overstate how pleased I am.Edit: I keep coming back! Awesome!どうもありがとうございました

Wonderful combination of flavors! I had the Karai Shoyu (chef favorite), a spicy broth base which was so satisfying. The Takoyaki (octopus app) was also the best I've had. The others had the miso and spicy miso which they also enjoyed. So glad we had lunch here while on tour to Brown University.

Came a week ago. Service is somewhat lackluster. They forgot to refill our water and I had to go to the cashier and ask for water and additional napkins. One of the chefs working in the kitchen (we sat across the bar), however, is very friendly to us- very much appreciated. The food is way overseasoned. They put Szechuan chili peppers in my Gankara Miso, to rather negative effects... It's not that it's spicy, the Mala-numbing spiciness just does not mix and match well with a Miso soup base. Also, way too much garlic and salt. This is supposedly a "traditional" dish according to their website... I can't tell what's so traditional about this mish-mesh of spices and everything from the kitchen sink. The Kara-Age is quite good. Other than that, the place is very so-so. Also, the place is not very clean (litter, dirty bathroom, etc.).

I am a long time customer of Ganko Ittetsu. I would love it if they bring back the Napa cabbage appetizer. We used to have such craving for it that it made us go back there so much more frequently than we do now.

Okay - this is great ramen. I had the Tan Tan and my sister had the Spicy Miso and both soups were great - from the soup flavors to the texture of the noodles to the toppings. If you love good ramen, you'll enjoy your meal here even if the staff seems less than interested in serving you.

The spicy vegan ramen is out of this world! We have gone quite a few times and each visit is stellar! They also have a crisp, dry Japanese beer on tap that is perfect to accompany the ramen. In one word- yum!

Ordered ramen and Peking raviolis. Delivery was puntual but food was disgusting. Ramen had no flavor, raviolis tasted rotten and the sauce was sour. The can of ginger ale was great, but not worth $55.

Ramen and gyoza are very good! There are lots of different kind (different origin) of ramen, they do Hokkaidostyle here, the soup is rich and flavorful. Highly recommended!

We ordered the Gyoza and didn't make it any further. They were just ok in flavor and they were pretty seared. I mean I really don't expect burnt sections on a Gyoza. We didn't make it to Ramen. Maybe I need to get that in and then refresh this rating to be fair. The place was just not that inviting and the tables were so close we were overwhelmed by out neighbors loud conversation and it was just 3pm. The greeter, or maybe manager ?, was a bit over the top on seating us and letting us know he was there to help with anything. Really friend, its late lunch and the place is half empty... but our server was fast, friendly and just what you are looking for in a quick dining experience.
