This is a cool place to visit on federal hill. The ice cream is delicious! The waffle cones are stuffed with Nutella or custard! It’s fun and sooooo so good.

I went there on a Sunday afternoon right before they opened for business, and they already had a line of people waiting outside; I knew that meant that they were good. Once the doors opened, the line moved quickly.
The service (which is incredibly important to me) was very professional and friendly. The place is clean and modern, and the vibe was great.
I bought a cube cookie butter croissant which was fresh, delicious, and the portion was huge (enough for four people to eat from). The ice cream was amazing! The portion of the ice cream was also big, and it was delicious.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I recommend it 100%. I will be going back soon.

Good stuff, superpacked with sugar, so go easy on it! Beware, this is not the OG Taiyaki. Also, the nutella croissant cube isn't filled with nutella, but some chocolate pudding instead.

Delicious desserts and the coolest “Tufting & Taiyaki” workshops on Saturdays! We had so much fun learning how to tuft and at a really accessible price where they provide all the tools to make it beginner friendly. Such a great idea. Love this place.

Helado Taiyaki is the best! Their ice cream is consistently creamy, delicious, and full of flavor, with taiyaki that is just the right amount of crispness on the outside and sumptuously soft on the inside.The cafe in the mornings takes it to a whole new level! Their tres leches latte is an EXPERIENCE, so perfectly salty-sweet and rich. Their cube croissants are utter perfection: each bite brings something new to the table, from the crispy edges to the melt-in-your-mouth-soft inside to the deliciously creamy center to the rich toppings. They're delectable without being too sweet, and well worth the $10 price tag because they are SO HUGE, they can easily be split between two people.Not to mention the staff! Every person I have ever spoken to behind the counter has been lovely and incredibly accommodating. It feels like visiting friends.And of course, the whole vibe of the place is clean, cute, and fun: pretty for anyone, and very Instagrammable if you're of the social media persuasion.I absolutely adore this place, and it's even better to know that when I go there, I'm supporting a small business that truly deserves the world!Dietary restrictions: The staff are SO accommodating! I'm lactose intolerant, so I once asked if they had a dairy-free ice cream. They not only do, but they also cooked up a special dairy-free vegan taiyaki for me! I'm never hesitant to ask them questions or talk about dietary restrictions.Parking: Parking on Federal Hill can be a bit tough, but Helado is on a side street where you can often find a few spaces on either side that are free for 2 hours. It's also a very walkable area, so if you need to find a side street further away, it's never going to be more than a 5-minute, easy walk to get there.
