Fancy restaurant for seafood and a variety of other dishes. We came in a large group and made a reservation days in advance. The service was polite and quick and the food excellent. We had seafood (sea bass + ceviche), steak (waygu) and pasta for mains. Clam chowder and calamari for appetizers and 4 different types of dessert - all good and of high quality.

The entire party got extremely sick after eating oysters at the Mill's. We know it was the food from the Mill's because it's the only thing we ate in common. I've been to the Mill's many times and never had a bad experience. I emailed management to tell them about my bad experience but to my surprise I never heard back. I won't be going back.

Server was extremely attentive; hostess / manager as well. Everything was superb with exception of lamb being over cooked and staffs well-intentioned but poor response to the situation. They quickly took the lamb back and didn't even ask if I wanted that again, or something else. They did bring me shrimp cocktail while I waited and my guests enjoyed their meal; but we had already had shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and no one at the table wanted more. Normally under such circumstances a better restaurant would have provided free desserts, especially since by the time my second rack of lamb - now cooked to perfection came out- my guests were pretty much finished eating and patiently waited and observed me eating. We had ordered shrimp cocktails for an appetizer and while I was waiting for my main dish and my guests ate, they brought me more shrimp cocktail, but I honestly didn't want anymore. The situation could have been handled much better. If they had simply taken the time to have asked, I would have ordered the quickest meal the kitchen could prepare to dine with my guests. If they had simply asked, I would have preferred another glass of wine to shrimp cocktails or a free dessert for my two guests to eat, instead of them watching me eat my food because they had already finished theirs. It was the first time we had something like that happen there. The response was well intended but quite poor compared to other fine restaurants in Providence.

For our customary Saturday date-night with my wife, we opted to dine at Mills Tavern. The ambience was refined and distinguished, with a staff that exuded both courtesy and attentiveness. The culinary artistry was truly exceptional, each dish boasting a distinctive flavor profile. The persimmon salad, in particular, deserves special mention. A heartfelt commendation goes out to Chef Mert for his masterful execution, imaginative flair, and the warm rapport he has established with his patrons. Mills Tavern undoubtedly ranks among the most distinguished dining establishments in Providence.

I really enjoyed the food and ambience at Mills Tavern. I was here from out of town entertaining local clients. I got the Wagyu steak and it was just amazing! Cooked to perfection. My client's enjoyed their time as well! Would definitely come back when I'm in town.

Walked in Monday night with my wife. It was busy for a Monday night. Sat at the bar and Tony made some great cocktails and great recommendations for food. The pork tenderloin was excellent.

Zach, our waiter, was excellent. Someone recognized it was our 35th wedding anniversary from our reservation history or profile, as I don't remember annotating it, and placed a card on our table—-Kudos! Our traditional shared Wagyu Tomahawk Ribeye steak was a little overcooked for our order, first time, but a little disappointing. We took home the outer portions to repurpose. However, the oysters and charcuterie board appetizers, the asparagus and sweet potato sides, the add-on U-10 scallops, the chocolate mousse dessert, the wine and after dinner 20-yr tawny port... were all excellent. Valet service always a plus.

Such a fantastic night out! Great wine selection and creative Cocktails. The service Was perfect, attentive but let us go at our own pace. Calamari was tender and flavorful. My husband had a perfectly cooked rib eye and I had enjoyed my halibut. It was a lovely evening and a great atmosphere

First time at Mill's Tavern was nothing short of incredible! Great drinks, the food presentation alone was stunning but the taste knocked it out of the park! Our server, James, was absolutely phenomenal. Displayed a friendly, genuine attitude and we were very impressed. His energy honestly made my night! We will definitely be back and requesting James for sure!
