Poor pizza! the dough was so thin and wet that we couldn't take it out of the box without making a mess.

We had an amazing time, the bartender Tori was so attentive and knowledgeable. The food and drinks were excellent, I got the trofie al pesto, and an Italian bee (gin cocktail) and it was out of this world!! I would highly recommend this restaurant and will be back!

Carolina provided excellent service and fabulous explanation of our questions about the regional foods of Italy. We were 100% satisfied and will be planning another visit to this gem that has made it to the top of our list!

Salvatore,You must have us confused with someone else. We did NOT change the reservation even once. In fact, I confirmed it several times through your text message saying to confirm.Secondly, I made a point of telling your host when we arrived that I was sorry we were late but I tried calling the restaurant, at 6:55 to be exact, to say that we were running slightly late due to the heavy rain. I was put on hold for at least 5 minutes and finally gave up because we were around the corner by then . The nice young man apologized for that. Which is more than I can say for you. Please do your homework before you make statements that are not true. This still does not change the rest of my review regarding the slow and poor service and salad issue.I have been a successful retailer and in executive sales all my life and words which have always stood me in good stead you may benefit from. "The customer is always right” whether you believe it or not.A simple apology for “any misunderstanding we may have had about seating, etc. last night “ would have sufficed and gone a long way. Also it would have been the sign of a professional. Instead you chose the low road.Thank you for the offer of a gift card but we will not be returning mainly because of your sarcastic and misinformed reply. You do not deserve our patronage. Also one last note. I don't think we disturbed any guests by asking to move the table a little further in, away from the door, so the 2 people in our party with hearing issues might be more comfortable. Your kind host moved the tables for us. Check your facts first.Sara Donohue

Pasta beach is a favorite of ours. I've never really been disappointed. We often like to sit outside and enjoy the vibe of Wayland Square. There's a significant amount of seating on the sidewalk outside the restaurant, and I can't remember a time they couldn't accommodate us there. The sangria is one of the best things you can get here. It seems to change slightly with the season, but it's always excellent!A recent addition to the menu is the amatriciana pizza. It is so flavorful, and like all their pizza, the crust is light and airy. Servers have mentioned that they have a chef from Naples making all their pizzas. Alex's favorite main dish is the carbonara pasta, and mine is the lasagna bolognese. We've had many of the pasta dishes though, and always thought they were good. Most recently we got the Nutella pizza for dessert with my family and it was enjoyed by all - even those who said they didn't want dessert. It was the typical excellent crust with Nutella, and a generous amount of fruit and whipped cream. An excellent way to end the meal, and it seems to be a new addition to the normal menu.

Pasta Beach is an old favorite of mine. It's a classic Italian menu with pasta that appears to be made in house. The interior has a classic feel with white table cloths and a mix of bar seating, standard seating and high tops. It feels nice, but you can also get away with dressing pretty casually. If they ever have the Amatriciana pizza on the menu, that is a MUST GET. Their drinks are also seasonal, anytime they have the Sangria, we've always gotten that and never been disappointed. The service can get a little backed up when they get really busy, but it's usually not too bad.The only thing they can improve upon is the size of their pasta dishes. I think they could be just a bit bigger, but other than that I have no complaints.

David makes the best espresso martini and the atmosphere and food were terrific. Hidden gem in Wayland Square!

My family had an amazing dinner here this summer! I started off with a cocktail off the seasonal drink menu and it was so refreshing. I got a chance to talk to the bartender who created it about our mutual love of bourbon. We shared some great appetizers - meatballs and eggplant. Our main dishes were even better. Our sons ordered pizzas. They are unbelievable: the Polpettina with huge meatballs and Prosciutto di Parma with thick slices of prosciutto and balls of fresh mozzarella, the quality and quantity of the toppings are amazing! I had a pesto pasta dish that was very fresh tasting. The desserts are all made in house. Our family loves tiramisu so I can only comment on that and it was among the best we’ve tasted. Sal, the general manager, stopped by our table and talked a little about some of the updates they’ve made to the menu. All of the staff we interacted with: host, server, bartender, manager were a delight. It was a great night out with my family and I can’t wait to return.
