I going to be moving to Providence in May. Would like to come check this place out!! Open to the public?

The place has been kind of a drag the last few weeks, just not the spot anymore. I really don't like ending my nights here anymore.

(1) I wish leather/underwear night was much more frequent, and (2) I wish there was a *little* bit more lighting on leather/underwear night!I mean, we all know why it is so dark... but honestly it was impossible to see *anything.* Seemed pointless wearing my sexy new jock when quite literally nobody saw it on me. A little lighting would go a long way. Instead of staying there for hours, I was kind of ready to leave after like 30 mins.

Inclusive? Open ? Tolerant? Wouldn’t that be the values of an LGBT community? We arrived in a group and the bouncer directly stopped the three tallest men with beards. I didn't know that a gay bar didn't accept straight people. Obviously as a woman they said yes for me.We went straight to moonshine alley which is much better.Very disappointed I won't even try to go there by myself. To pay $20 more…

Long time Eagle customer. Look, while I love this bar and the people are great, get a new DJ for Saturday. If your gonna charge $10 cover charge, at least get a DJ that can play good music. Every weekend, same tracks, same beat. A DJ needs to be an entertainer and read the crowd. This DJ just plays the same playlist every weekend and it’s honestly starting to get boring to come to the bar. Better music, better crowd, better sales, more profit and that’s based on actual experience. By the way, while you may take this as just one customer who doesn’t like this music. That’s not the case, I’ve spoken to multiple people that have said the same thing. Play some good house music and not the repetitive jungle track. Last thing, get a POS. While the clover thing is “great”, your better off to get an actual POS that sets pre authorizations on people’s cards. You don’t need to hold on people’s cards, cashing out is simple, bartenders keep better track and customers get served faster, which means more $$$.While this is a four star review for the eagle, it’s still a great place and welcomes all people. Ill still be coming back but after four years, I just needed to say something. Hopefully the owner will take these things in consideration.

Any bar called the "Eagle" will likely cater to a certain subset of the gay demographic, and this one here in Providence is no different. Even then, it was a casual, unpretentious place when I stopped by.There's a core wrap-around bar, a slightly elevated area where people can play pool or congregate at small stand-up tables, and just enough space otherwise to enable mingling or dancing. As others have mentioned, there's unique entertainment on the TVs plus a "bonus room" behind the bar. Couldn't complain about any of this. ;)What's more, prices on drinks were reasonable and service was efficient. Thank goodness places like these are still around despite the presence of certain mobile apps and the economic disruption of Covid.

I was initially excited to visit this Eagle because I have had great experiences at other locations. This bar felt unwelcoming; the bartenders didn't even acknowledge me sitting at the bar waiting to order drinks; the raiders fan bartender just kept helping the people walking up after me on the side. I was sitting at the end, and I asked the barback, am I in the wrong place to order drinks? He said and took my order. After another 10 mins, the other bartender looked up and asked if I wanted anything. I told him my order was taken. Lucky, I had asked someone else. I'm not sure if he was new and overwhelmed or intentional. But I can see I wasn't the only one experiencing this. Maybe have more bartenders to increase your profit and customer service experience, 3 or 4 minimum when busy. Plus to this bar, music was good.

It's a gay daddy bar owned by a veteran. So cool! Always friendly staff, love to play pool here with the older gents.
