Nightmarish service. They cannot follow simple instructions. A simple pot of Coffee took 15 min to serve and messed up both the orders. Avoid this place unless you have plenty of time and patience! The ambience is good though.

We did make a change and opted to sit at the bar. I notified the staff that we were going to sit at the bar so they could cancel our reservation. The bar was hopping and I had a Moktail and it was great. My husband had a Manhattan and he said it was outstanding. The prices were very high for the drinks. The food we ordered was very good and the prices were somewhat high but our food selections were very good. It's a great location when attending a show at the VETS.

So convenient to grab dinner before a show at the Vets, as well as dine here if you're a guest at the hotel. But, you don't need to be a guest or a show-goer to pop in for the chill vibe, cool cocktails and yummy food.

The menu selections were right in our wheelhouse for a variety of tastes and textures in small plates to entrees. Service was a little slow! They charge $12.00 for non-alcoholic drinks making them almost as high as cocktails with a shot of alcohol. That was disappointing. Club soda with a slice of lime will be the order next time. I wonder how much they'll charge for the ice and lime. Food was delicious.

First time here. Came here before a show at Amica Pavilion . Great atmosphere. Beautiful bar. Friendly service. Our waiter August was very attentive. Drinks, appetizers and dinners were very good. Will definitely return!

The place? So cute! The service? Only if you like sassy retort. The food? As white as it gets.I was hoping for an amazing restaurant for where I could have a fantastic dinner with my mom before a show at the Vets. We got a generic hotel restaurant.Pretty in Pink was the best part of the night. That drink? So dang good. The rest? Eh. Lacking. The host was rude and condescending. The waitress while pleasant was MIA. The food took forever an was obviously sitting under a heat lamp. But somehow the fries were underdone. The crabcakes while had great consistency, did not have the flavor to keep it a good dish. The Caesar salad might as well have come from a shake bag. As said before the fries weren't fried enough. My mom said the burger was delish, so I'll give Public that. All in all, won't come again. My mom said she will but it might be for the atmosphere and age group of attendants.

The host/manager(I believe) was very rude. The service at the bar below average. The bar itself was extremely messy all around. Dirty glassware everywhere. The 3 bartenders seemed unorganized and not cohesive at all. I will have to say the kitchen absolutely saved this place! Appetizers, salad and main course....they nailed it! Otherwise I would never go back.

My wife and I were attending a concert performance next door at the Veterans Auditorium and I was looking for something close by for a pre-show meal and I definitely picked a winner. I really wasn't that familiar with the area (beyond the Providence Mall), so I wasn't sure, but we were more than happy with our experience at Public Kitchen. We were greeted warmly (a good thing on a cold night) and the service (shout out to JD for taking good care of us) and food were excellent. We will definitely be back!

Excellent service. Bartender made excellent cocktails. We loved scallops and vegetable risotto and short ribs meals. Eggplant chips could have had a lot more ricotta. Didn't love. Host was snarky when we asked for a quieter table/booth as he sat us in between two couples. He did not oblige.

Our appetizer was outstanding! We had the eggplant and it is the best we ever had. Most restaurants skimp for some reason on the sauce but we had plenty, can't wait to return to have it again. The salmon was also wonderful. We also ordered the scallops with mushroom and pea risotto but the risotto was very sticky and hardly a mushroom to be found and not that many peas either. The scallops were fine but nothing special. A wedge of lemon would have been nice.

Eggplant chips delicious as was beef short ribs and steak tips. Unfortunately we were seated next to another couple when there were plenty of other options....probably should have spoken up. Service attentive, fast.

Wonderful service! The host was kind enough to give us the last table with the state house view, a cozy and quiet booth! Service and food was exceptional, loved the eggplant chips and Thai spicy noodles! Will definitely return, even if we don't have tickets to the Vets!

I mean, just wow. I dined here with my family and it was an unforgettable experience. The food was decent, but the manager Chris was a very rude and hostile person. We had a minor issue that could have very easily been remedied. However, after bringing it to his attention we were yelled at and chewed out in front of other patrons of the restaurant. He made it a point to return to our table two more times and continue using harsh and aggressive language to harass my dinner party. Fortunately, the head waitress became aware of our problem and was very easily able to implement the fix needed. Lindsey (head waitress) was amazing, but we will not be returning due to the fear of further harassment by the manager Chris.
