I'm a sushi lover, and I have to say that this place is amazing! I stumbled on it while I was visiting Providence and taking a stroll through this beautiful neighborhood. Why this place doesn't have a 4.9 overall star rating I can't understand! I've read some of the low reviews, and people complain of the customer service and wait staff. I found the staff to be friendly, attentive, and simply wonderful! It seems that a lot of people on here can't actually read the menu, where it actually states in black and white what is included in and on the rolls. I made a change on one of mine, and the staff was happy to accommodate. Maybe it's the way some.people talk to the staff, perhaps as though they are entitled? I think diners have forgotten how to politely communicate with staff, especially when there may be differences in culture (you've always got to keep this in mind)! Now that I told you how incredible the service is, let me tell you how much I loved the atmosphere of this dark, quaint hideaway. It's beautiful.. if you're looking for a brightly lit commercial restaurant, this is not it.. for those diiners complaining of it being small and dark, then why did they sit here and eat in the first place? Surely they saw exactly what it was like when they first walked in! Strange anyone would leave them a bad review for this when they are the ones that chose to sit and dine here knowing full well what the atmosphere was like. Mind-blowing really how ridiculous some people are! The sushi is outstanding. Most places fill their rolls with rice and give you very little protein. This place is the opposite, a good portion of protein in the rolls with a small amount of rice. I appreciated this!Give them a try, you won't be disappointed. Ignore the ridiculous, I can't say more good things about it!

i've been down wickenden sooo many times and can't believe i never paid attention. what a cute cozy sushi spot. i regret not doing floor seating but will next time! our server was so kind and patient with us as we kept ordering and deciding in between plates if we wanted more. i will say the savory entree was okay, no regrets, but not the main star of the show. the sushi was definitely fresh and yummy. miso soup was also a good warm option to open up with. also their tea came in a tea bag so i asked for miso soup instead and they were really nice about it. will be back :)

I love the authentic feel of a true Japanese restaurant while dining on the floor in the back room.A must to do before your too old to sit criss-cross applesauce.

Didn't think it was going to be great but surprised at how bad this place is.I got mostly Nigiri Sushi (fish on top of rice) and Miso Soup.Strike 1:Miso Soup served to me was room temperature.. who tf likes soup room temperature especially during cold weather. Seemed like it was just sitting out and then served.Strike 2:Fish to rice ratio was terrible, thin slices of fish and tons of rice. With the amount they charge for two pieces, this is crazy. Also the rice was really dry.. maybe mix in some rice vinegar and keep the rice from drying out.Strike 3:I went in on a Tuesday afternoon. There were maybe 5 other people in the restaurant at the time. Waitress checked on me 0 times in the 45 mins I was there. The whole staff was in the back kitchen socializing. Asked the guy at the sushi bar if I could get my check, the guy didn't even acknowledge me and shouted in Chinese to the back kitchen for the waitress.Spent just north of 50 bucks for what I could have gotten at the local supermarket for much cheaper. Oh well!

On main drag. Space is broken up into multiple rooms off the main entry. The service is succinct, the food came out fairly quickly. Sushi and sashimi tasted good.

The food was good, and there was a tall, handsome young man in the shop who was eager to meet more friends...

I really enjoyed eating here, especially during the less busy hours. It was nice and quiet and the waitstaff were polite. The only minor thing is that there were quite a few gnats/flies which were hovering around my food, but they didn't bother me that much.

Really good sushi. You can bring your own bottle (BYOB) - the corkage fee is a very reasonable $2 per person. Wait staff were attentive and friendly.

This really is the best sushi I’ve had on the East coast over the last several years. Fresh and incredibly well made. We had lunch sushimi and sushi platters, along with a sunshine roll. Wonderful presentation and blue fin tuna. Yum!

I come here once a week. as I’m in the middle of filling out my receipt, the waitress song told me that it’s mandatory that I include a tip. She didn’t let me finish filling out my receipt before pulling out my cash for tip. After that interaction, I left no tip. She didn’t let me leave at first , then after she said “you can go”. The owner is no help either. Take your money elsewhere. Also, if you look at the Sakura in Attleboro’s reviews, they’re all the same kind of review on tip, I believe they mistaken the address . Should be this address.
