We finally made it to Kitchen. Very small place with 3 booths for 2 and 2 booths for 4. The waiting line is outside. Even though it was cold this morning it was worth the wait. I had a french omelet that was excellent. Nice and light with peppers, onions, and spinach. The home fries were very good. My wife went with Big Shot to get French toast and eggs. The Sweetbread French Toast was very light and tasty. We started with a grilled blueberry corn muffin that was delicious. Had a nice grilled crust to it. The service was excellent. We will defintely be back

One of the best in Providence. Be warned the lines to get in are long. The wait is worth it. Trust me I know.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. There was a long wait outside because there are only a few tables. Parking is available across the street. Prices are reasonable. The bacon, home fries, orange juice, and coffee milk are a must try. The other breakfast items (pancakes, omelettes, French toast) can be skipped.

The first day we stopped we could not afford the time to wait. We went to Classic Cafe, which is a must visit also. Different type of venues but very good food at either. The next day we waited at Kitchen for about an hour. We had the time and from reviews needed to visit. Breakfast is my boyfriend's fav food so it was a must. This is just dependent on your fate! Coffee, omelettes with fixings including delectable cheeses like cheddar, brie, Gouda and chevre, home made breads also. Yum. Love the ambiance also.

Happily overordered- ate leftovers later. French toast is amazing- doesn’t even need syrup! Waiter was very helpful.

Splendid aromas will steer you here from blocks away. TripAdvisor still posts long-changed 4:00 Sat./Sun. close time; it’s 3:00 these days. Still, for mentioning the discrepancy to the hostess, I received thanks and, courtesy of the proprietor, the best bran/fruit muffin I ever tasted. (Make no mistake: this food is preposterously delicious.) We also shared an eye-roll over the “reliability” of social media. No biggie, as the muffin was no less fresher for it. Already looking forward to next Saturday, when I’ll be stopping here for breakfast en route to a faraway, 90th-birthday do. Can’t think of a better way to start my trip!

In a world of Celebrity Chefs, Instagram and Everything-to-Everyone Eateries "Kitchen" in Providence flies in the face of conformity, juts one Man acting as Chef, Server and Hostess from 7:30am until close from Thursday through Sunday. Located in a postage-stamp space at 94 Carpenter Street on Federal Hill, a private lot next door offering plenty of parking for just fourteen seats, it is by seven o’clock most days that a line begins to form, the owner unlocking doors and personally welcoming each guest though his name and story remain largely unknown even to those who live nearby. Pressed neither for time nor customers, the Restaurant reliably filled from open to close as the middle-aged gentleman brews Coffee between taking orders and preparing them, it is from a small chalkboard menu that decisions are made, the choices limited but still covering a good range of Breakfast staples. Cracking each Farm Fresh Egg by hand and baking everything from Bread to Muffins on-site daily, the very definition of a scratch Kitchen, it was while sipping Dark Roast that one of the latter arrived sliced, buttered and griddled, the texture dainty despite being loaded with fresh Fruit that on this particular day was Blueberries. Waiting for the first two tables’ orders to be prepared, each guest served by order of arrival and attention to detail clearly the business motto, it was perhaps 8:00am by the time three plates arrived with pitchers of Syrup for each, the good stuff from Vermont plainly visible in the back where everything else appears to be from a Farmer’s market as they sit without labels. Ready to tuck in, a self-service Coffee refill okayed by the owner at no extra charge, suffice it to say that although simple everything from Eggs to Homefries are prepared without fault, a light Moroccan spice faintly detectable on the Potatoes while extra-thick-cut Bacon is crisp on the edges but supple and fatty in the middle. Offered without fuss or pretense, just a guy clearly doing what he loves at his own pace, additional Carbs come in the form of fluffy Buttermilk Pancakes plus two styles of French Toast, the Croissant’s open crumb creating a light bite with pronounced Butter while the “regular” version sees Brioche well-saturated and custardy with subtle Vanilla notes.

Delicious breakfast find! Short ride from our hotel...happy to find this small, quaint and delicious breakfast spot. 14 seats total...you’re bound to wait, but the wait is worth it. Muffin of the day is a must, breakfast sandwich was the best I’ve found with thick cut bacon and Portuguese sweet muffin. You can have your omelette either American, French or Frittata style. Service was great, friendly and courteous and although there is a wait, you don’t feel rushed at all.

This place often has a line so I waited until it was a rainy fall weekend morning and went before 10 AM. It’s a first-come-first-serve line, and we got in within 15 minutes. It’s a very small restaurant and cash only. They can’t sit more than 4 people, and you’re likely to sit sooner if it’s only 2 people. We had the huevos rancheros and the sweetbread French toast - both of which were astoundingly delicious. The bacon is THICK and delicious. There are so many good brunch places nearby but this one absolutely takes the prize as #1 best brunch and is totally worth the wait!

And overall awesome. The bacon is the best I have ever had. Ever. Seriously, go here for the bacon. Everyone I bring here loves it. It is a little funky - one person does everything but he does everything perfectly. If you want ordinary go somewhere else.
