Though I would never call myself a connesour, I am at the very least, an avid consumer of bone-in wings. Before eating at Tribos, I thought I had tried every type of wing imaginable. Little did I know, the greatest chicken I would ever eat could be found in a small restaurant in the city I now call home. Tribos has perfected the wing. Through some flame grilled sorcery, they have created a wing that is crispy on the outside and tender within. Their sauces can be quite hot, but it is not just heat for heats sake: the spiciness of these wings elevates the flavors of citrus and chili to new levels. When I am having a bad day, when I have a cold, when I miss home, or when I just don't feel myself, I always turn to Tribos. I order a dozen, extra hot, wings and by the time I reach the bottom of my plate, all of my sorrows are gone. My sinuses are clear. I feel at home in my new city, my confidence renewed. On the walk home, with a full belly, I call my parents just to say I love you. You're probably thinking there's no way a chicken wing could do all that. Well, if you think it's outrageous, you surely haven't been to Tribos yet. So I urge you to go as soon as possible and to order the hottest chicken you can handle. Tell Jacqui that Clancy sent you. They'll take good care of you.

I came here for the first time out of curiosity. The food was almost as good as the service. The waitress, Jackie was so pleasant and personable. I was having a rough day but her positive attitude and politeness helped me snap out of it. Whatever you pay her should be doubled. She explained the menu, gave recommendations and was super nice. If I had a restaurant I would hire her away from you on a heartbeat. Please tell Jackie to never change. I look forward to coming back. Hopefully I get Jackie again as my waitress.

To Owner / Manager,First I would like to delineate, we love tribos peri peri. Specifically for authentic grill taste. I along with my family and friends enjoy your place. We have been enjoying the restaurant since last 3 years when we moved to RI.What I noticed recently the worst customer front person for the first time at your restaurant in providence.Throughout last 3 years I saw multiple changes in front desk who welcome customer and take orders, everyone were polite, helpful and respectful. But the day last Saturday was different.I went there with my friends and family. We were trying to order the chef’s platter and were discussing for the two sides. The waiter was looking extremely rude as we are wasting too much time. Most importantly, we were the only customer that time for dine in.However, we had to change one side and we asked her to change it. She was rude and saying harshly “I cannot do the change, I have to do the order again from beginning”.What’s wrong with!!!! You get the hourly payment for taking order and serving customers. You don’t cook !!!! What’s wrong with you!!!!Even when we asked the slip, she was saying i can’t do that, my boss will email you….. what!!!!!!!!Are you crazy!!!!??I said it’s already printed there. Check please..I wonder whether she received a proper training!!!No wonder the food taste was good as usual. But I would highly recommend to shape the training for the best customer service as you always provide. Thanks

Was scared to try this place but decided to go ahead anyways . I asked for 6 wings and got 6 TINY drumsticks or dummettes ,I was completely pissed. I only like white meat and flats when it comes to wings. Anyways the chicken had good flavor but The rice was bland and dry. Didn't like it it at all I threw it out. The perimayo corn was pretty good and the potato salad was ok, but had a strong taste of mustard that over powered it. The food is quite expensive for what it was I might be back to try the lamb but i wasn't really too impressed with my order today .

i love tribos and whenever i cater this for friends, students, visitors, they get so excited. the lamb is amazinggggg whether it's in a bowl or a wrap or a lollipop. falafel is just ok like i definitely don't come here for falafel given Al Shami is right around the corner. the sauces go so well with the food, not overpowering just a nice addition. i have also had the chicken and it's very juicy and tender. you can pick your spice level which is great when you a group of people with different pallets. i usually order out but have dined in a couple times during low-key times of the day and the staff are very helpful.

Tried Tribos for first time; ordered chicken (medium) and a side of veggies. The menu has a lot of options and took a while to decide. I was keeping it "healthy" but there were so many other tempting things i want to go back to have. The chicken was very flavorful, not dry but spicy! I probably will ask for mild next time but it was still great. Service was fast, went on a sat afternoon and there weren't a lot of people there. The server was friendly and patient. The restaurant looks casual, a lot of seating options but parking in that area can be difficult. Will definitely go back to try other items and have more peri peri chicken soon!

Tribos was really good. If you've ever tried nandos, this place is very similar. Down to the toothpick with the temperature on it and the sides. Would definitely come back. My singular downside was that the only cheese option was American. At other Peri Peri places, they also have options like halloumi, and that was the only thing I really felt like I was missing here. Never doubt the love of halloumi. The service was great, and everything was clean, although there seem to be way more takeout orders, than people eating in.

This is such a tough one. I REALLY want to give this place 5 stars - but hear me out. I tried TPP a few months back and loved it. Yum! I was then sick the next two days with stomach pains, but didn't suspect it was the food (although it crossed my mind). The food was SO good that despite the post-peri peri GI issues, I reordered a week later. Delicious!....Followed by a day of intense stomach cramping and nausea. STILL, I refused to believe my new favorite chicken spot was the culprit. Denial is so powerful. I figured it must be a fluke and that i shouldn't make any rash assumptions. Fast forward a month later, my mom and I are hungry and I decide to introduce her to my new favorite chicken. I don't mention my past experiences. We order take out. Its excellent. The next day my mom calls me sick with all the same symptoms I'd had. She stayed very ill for 2 full days. I felt really guilty. So. In conclusion.... This restaurant makes food so good you'll keep risking it; gladly living in a delusional world where you'll even put your own family at risk just to get some of that bomb peri peri. But....somethings up in that kitchen. I suspect the owner (who i hear is lovely) isn't aware and so I'm hoping they see this review and make some adjustments to the kitchen, because I'd LOVE to return and I'd love to change this review to the 5 stars they deserve.

I ordered a lamb rice dish according to the menu behind the counter. Upon checking out, I was charged more than what was written for my order so I kindly told the cashier that she is over charging me. She stated that shes aware that the menu prices are incorrect and they are “going to be changed soon” but still charged me the higher price. The food is actually good but very overpriced for the portions they are giving. Lastly, a business that displays prices incorrectly are liable and have to abide by the prices displayed!
