Great place to 'cheer up'.Didn't try the food but excellent crafts beer list, Don't let the casual atmosphere fool you, they are serious about craft beer.Full bar too.

My fav bar in Providence. Great taplist of craft beers, realest bartenders, and the widest mix of people having a drink that you're going to find in the city. Protect this place at all cost.

One of my favorite bars. Love all the bartenders and the vast selection of beers that change regularly. Always has nice ciders and sour beer as well. And now tasty BBQ also!

What Cheer is home to a lot of people in the Providence area. I've been coming here for years and years and still love it. Great drinks, amazing food, and fun and friendly staff. Nothing beats a summer night on their patio either watching the game while playing corn hole or watching actual live music. Feels like being at your best friends summer BBQ party! Did I mention they have that too? You have to go on a Sunday to get the infamous Horseman BBQ, you won't be let down.

Hit this place for the first time last night and really enjoyed it. They have a great beer selection, a small menu of food (try the pretzel sticks- they're pretty damn good), good prices, and both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was super friendly and very pleasant as well, which is always important when it comes to a good neighborhood pub.I wish there was better parking, but hey, what can you do? Parking is on the street and there is plenty of it all around, but I'm just letting you (the reader) know when you go to check it out (which you definitely should).

Don't go here unless you want great food (tater tots are always a win) and a great, ever changing, beer selection. The staff is exactly what you expect from a Rhode Island tavern and their backyard area is huge and great for meeting up with your most debaucherous friends. What Cheer often has awesome live music that you'd usually dish out $30 or more for at your favorite music venue so keep an eye out for upcoming events or just pop by for a shot of mcgillicuddy's and a Union Station Brewery beer.

I’ve been here 2 times so far with a few friends who are regulars. I have nothing but POSITIVE things to say about this place! The staff is very welcoming and all around great people. They are very passionate about their rotating selection of brews and it shows! They have the main establishment and then there’s an outdoor patio in the back where you can enjoy the summer weather with tables/umbrellas (there’s also a tv to watch the game). The food is made ready to order and has not disappointed once!HIGHLY recommend you check What Cheer Tavern out!

Fun, casual vibe with inviting backyard space and the laid-back friendliness you hope for at a neighborhood watering hole. Nothing fancy. The day we were there, they were grilling and giving away free hotdogs just because.
