Went for the first time since Covid and was severely disappointed. It apparently had been sold. I asked for a sweet tea and the server told me they dont have any. I then asked for a water with lemon and she then told me they don't have lemon. Service was slow. The place was empty on a Saturday at 9:30. limited diner menu, nothing like it was before. Would not recommend.

Way too expensive, 2.99 for one coffee while we waited for our food so for both it was 5.98? Should've just gone to Dunkin for that price... And our to go order didn't have silverware and they charged an extra fee for the box to go. Def will be going to another place for breakfast in the

Champ's Diner is a delightful little spot for an above average breakfast served in a somewhat more interesting than average diner.Small and with a limited menu, Champ's does what it does well. I got the big breakfast option - I forget the exact name, but I think it was something like Hungry Man Breakfast - 3 eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, homefries, and a coffee.The coffee was Down East brand and freshly brewed - one of the perks of being the first customer through the door.The eggs were well prepared, as were the bacon and toast. The homefries were good, but not a large pile and not overly special - nothing to write home about, but also nothing to condemn.The sausage was really good. Girthier than those at most breakfast places, they approach being bangers, which is my preference for breakfast sausage.The pancakes were much sweeter than I expected. Fluffy in the middle and thinner as they radiated outwards, they were rather uncommon.Overall, I'd recommend them if you are nearby. The atmosphere is nice and the service is attentive.

I've been living in North Carolina for 5 years and you simply cannot get a good breakfast down there like you can up here. When I lived in Woony years ago I loved this place and was so excited to bring my husband here to try all the delicious food. Great food and great service !!
Being in this industry, I tend to be the customer that critiques food establishments, specifically diners :)My boyfriend & I were extremely impressed with the new management. Very pleased to see the new owners are not only extremely family oriented, but also hands on and taking part in running their own business. When you are not only greated by the owner, owner takes your order, but also personally cooks and serves it to you... Tells you all you need to know about their goals and beliefs they hold within their business.Food was absolutely on point! Fresh, prepared correctly & presentation was was exceptional. The coffee alone I would go back for even just over conversation. ?Thank you Judy for ensuring my boyfriend & I truly felt we came to your families kitchen for our first breakfast out in quite some time.What a wonderful job you & your family have done with the place! Been in town 8 years and never found a breakfast place in town I was crazy about until now.. Used to have to drive 20 minutes to places that were just OK. Quality ingredients (Not that cheap easy cook bacon), generous portions and everything was cooked to perfection. Very glad we gave them a shot!
