Went to the restaurant yesterday with my family very poor services. we sat at a table for good 10-15 minutes no one came up to us didn't even acknowledge that we were in the restaurant , we walked out and will never recommend this place

My wife went in and purchased two fish and chip orders for home. To our surprise the fish portions were small and the chips (French fries) were small ends mostly overcooked! Not happy.

The clam chowder is superior and definitely worth it but the fried food at this restaurant were like it's name, " Ye Olde", as in old cooking oil and bland! You could see from the front counter the cooking oil was black and rancid and needed charging very badly! The fish, shrimp and fries were extremely bland and seasonedless as well as soaked in rancid oil! Everything was soaked in dirty grease. I ate my seafood but didn't touch the french fries as did my partner who barely ate even the seafood! I'd come back for chowder but never for the fried foods!

I was looking all around online for the best fish and chips in Rhode Island and all signs pointed to Ye Olde English Fish and Chips. Boy I have to say I didn't know what to expect, but it blew me out of the water. You can tell it's been around forever and it's a true "if you know, you know" kind of place. The batter is unbelievably crunchy yet fluffy. The fish was great. Great portion for pick up and it's all wrapped in paper. I'll definitely come back here and I suggest to everyone to do the same!

This place used to be good but now they rip you off on the portion sizes.. the chicken strips are skinny and they give you a small amount of chips 50 percent of the time..

I took my food to go.Which was a bad idea. (Considering, I live in Valley Falls) so it was cold.. the leftovers the fries, shrimp, and clam bellies were hard. The next day.. and I DON'T put anything in the microwaveBut I plan on rectifying this...With a sit down and enjoy meal

This place has been around for over 100 years, so obviously they are very good. Due to shrink-flation the prices have risen and the serving size has shrunken. But still a treat.
