Went here 4 my wife's birthday & Ron our waiter & Vickey our waitress very delightful, very attentive 2 our needs/wants, & super hosts. The atmosphere was pleasant with light nonintrusive jazz. The food was exquisite with generous potions. The oysters & catfish fillets were fried 2 perfection. Our celebration was enhanced cosiderably by these wonderful individuals & delicious food. I would highly recommend this establishment if ur in the mood 4 some terrific seafood @ reasonable prices. Can't say enough good things about our experience & food. We will definitely put this restaurant @ the top of our favorites list & will definitely rtn in the near future.

Husband took me last night for my birthday dinner. Oysters and okra were lightly breaded & fried perfectly. His catfish fillets were the Best we have Ever eaten. Waiter, Ron and waitress, Vickey, were exceptional & above the expected service. We will definitely go back!

Food is delicious, generous portions! Never disappoints! We have tried many different things on the menu (and specials listed) and have enjoyed everything. Has plenty of options to choose from. Staff is always friendly, place has always been clean. Would definitely recommend.

I have actually been here 3 or 4 times since March 2023. Excellent fish or shrimp tacos (although they are deep fried, but yummy). I’m not a fan of fresh water fish: catfish, tilapia, etc and they have lot of that on the menu. I have had Mahi on the daily special that was broiled - excellent! Great service and prompt food service. I only wish they would open at Noon instead of 1:00pm.

My husband and I did not eat together. His appetizer arrived before mine and he was almost finished before mine arrived. Then he was half way through his meal before mine arrived. My steak was under cooked, I ordered med and got rare. By the my steak was recooked (same piece of meat I sent back) he was completely finished with his meal. He ordered me a second drink while I waited for my reorder and it didn’t come till after my meal. My husband ordered a second drink when my reorder finally arrived but I was finished with my meal when it arrived! Service was very personable but did not compensate for the slow service and miss timing of our meals. the food was good except for the catfish my husband had was 0 taste. We will not be back.

We were in Aiken for the night and while walking downtown spotted this restaurant. It got good reviews so we went in. We were greeted by a friendly staff and immediately seated (Saturday evening). There were hardly any people in the restaurant and we wondered why. Our waitress was excellent and when my husband asked what fried boiled eggs were she said "battered boiled eggs that are fried, and they give you gas." So he passed (no pun intended). Husband ordered fried fish tray and I ordered fried shrimp. Both came with french fries and no hush puppies. With water our total bill was $30.00. I'll say, the shrimp were good but my husband said the fish was not good - it tasted too fishy and he would not recommend it. I don't think this is a place I would go to if I visit Aiken again.

I've been here several times and each time I find another reason to come back. This evening I had the catfish plate with fried okra. As always the service was great. Our server Julie, is great. I had the four piece fried catfish and fried okra. There was enough catfish for that dinner, plus lunch the next day for my wife and I. The fish tasted great. The crust was thick, crispy, and very well seasoned. Not hot and spicy, just very tasty. My okra was cooked just right. You have to try the fried green beans. They are sooo good Another thing I like is there aren't 20 TVs set to soccer and golf. There wasn't any salt or pepper on the table. I looked around and none of the tables had any either. I planned to ask for some, but everything was already so well seasoned, I didn't need salt or pepper. So this place is clean, and quiet. The staff are great. The food is delicious. The portions are generous. And finally, the prices are reasonable. I can't think of any reason not to give it a try.

My daughter and I walked into this place by accident and really happy we did. Palmetto seafood has calm vibes, casual dining and great fried shrimps. My waiter was very accommodating and knowledgeable of the menu offering fav suggestions. We was there around 1 on a Saturday with no wait time. Our food came out hot and was so good and tasty. We look forward in exploring other items on the menu.

Staff were amazing and friendly. They went out of their way to make sure our full experience was wonderful. Ron made delicious drinks! Victoria was an excellent server, who took time to make sure all our needs were met. Thank you Earlina for bringing our men in To “husband day care” while we shopped. Sammy the chef, you have a talent that was noticed. This spot has easily become a favorite upon our new move to this area. We will be back? the surf and turf were amazing , as was the salmon dinners.

Palmetto Seafood restaurant in Aiken, SC was delicious; we highly recommend it. Ron waited on us, chatted with us, and made us feel welcome. Portion sizes were very generous. Palmetto sets the standard for the way casual dining should be experienced.

Palmetto seafood is everything anyone can want from a restaurant. It is comfortable and spotlessly clean. The restrooms are especially nice. The staff is attentive and fast. The food is delicious as well as attractive and reasonably priced. It opens at one in the afternoon and we were not sorry we waited twenty minutes to get in—the staff let us in ten minutes before one, bless them! Aiken, South Carolina can be mighty hot in June.
