Hands down some of the best Indian food I have ever had. I admit I had very low expectations since I travel often and Aiken doesn’t seem to be a place with such diverse ethnic restaurants (like D.C, for example). I stopped by after a recommendation while on vacation in Aiken and will now make this place a MUST if I am ever in town.

We have been several times and will continue to make this our "Out on the town" dinner destination! Thank you to the staff at Taj, and a special shout-out to Rosie! She's a wonderful server and always is so patient with our silliness. ?
Unbelievable experience. I tend to be very picky (and critical) about Indian cuisine , so I was afraid to try a new place but I was blown away. The biryani was OUTSTANDING and probably the best vindaloo I’ve ever had. And the service is amazing. 10/10 would recommend.

Had high hopes to come here and enjoy the food. But we get seated and sit for over 15 minutes while being passed by. No menu. No hello after the seating. No what would you like to drink. Nothing. Another family is seated before we leave with menus and the works while we are still sitting with nothing. Extremely disappointed.

Cozy little restaurant in downtown aiken, had amazing staff and food! Desire being very very busy on a Saturday night, we still received top notch service, and the food...oh... the food. We started with a perfectly crusted and seasoned tandoori chicken. Not too spicy, very moist and flavorful. For dinner I had the lamb vindaloo. Since it was our first time here, we chose "medium" heat. I'm glad I did. It was just short of being too hot. Lol. It was perfect. The lamb was tender, the garlic Naan was soft and delicious. I only wish I had had room for dessert...oh well... there will definately be a next time!

Genuinely the worst service that I've experienced. Very defensive about everything and argued with us about our to-go order that THEY TOOK 2 HOURS TO MAKE. I work in food and bev, so I get that stuff can happen, but they're attitude was unbearable.

Small, family-run restaurant. Has a very fun vibe and decor to it.Not a ton to complain about. Overall it was a very good experience. We got the garlic naan, chicken 65, navratan korma, and lamb biryani.Everything was absolutely delicious. My only issue is that my biryani was full of a huge amount of cinnamon chunks, apricot pits, woody stems of some herb. I had to spit out a lot of things while I was eating it. Taste was still great, though. Portions are generous as well.
