I went to this restaurant and bought takeout. The person who served me did not place my corresponding order. He kept a drink that I had paid for. He charged me additionally for rice and beans and did not place them in my order. I also asked for a shrimp broth and He didn't place it either, I called and he told me that he had not charged for the broth separately, he left me without cutlery or napkins. In the end I had to improvise a utensil to be able to put the food in my mouth. Totally terrible service, I will never go again??

We had a small family get together here and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. I will admit they are amazing. The food was very substandard for Mexican food. I have eaten at hundreds of Mexican restaurants and the food quality was in the bottom 5.So much potential, hopefully there are improvements to the food.

I really enjoyed my visit and the food. It was a Monday mid day and the food was great, the waitress was so pleasant and personable. I will be back! There wasp, entry of parking available for the size of the restaurant and it offers an easy off and on from 85.

Best Mexican Guacamole this side of the Rio Grande. Pair with Texas Margarita and you're all set. Sarah and her staff are top notch.

This is the real deal in Mexican around here. It's in an old HoJo Resturant. so I'm not certain if that qualifies as high end Mexican, Classical Mexican, or Just Short of a Dive Mexican... but the place is clean and organized. Let's call it HoJo Mexican. We built a house just up the road. As we were building the place, we stopped by once or twice. Since then we have been numerous times and honestly each time the place has been better. Once during a fishing tournament they got absolutely slammed and had a tough time getting the food out, but they sprung for some free margaritas so all was forgiven. The folks who work here are seriously hard workers. The lady who owns it works harder than anyone I have ever seen in a Resturant. Their cooks are great. Everything is prepared after you order and it's done in a very reasonable amount of time (unless there is a major fishing tournament, LOL). The food is great. I've tried everything I can think of on the menu that I would remotely enjoy and it's all good. They can make anything you would like, and to be honest my wife and I often simply order a couple of soft tacos, chicken, with sliced avocados. The chips are some of th best I have had anywhere. Freshly cooked, thin, super crispy. Same for the salsa, excellent. They have regular and spicy. Neither is too hot for me. I like hot, but don't care for painfully hot. Oh don't forget that they have a full bar... They have Margaritas of all sorts... and then they have Texas Margaritas. As best as I can figure, that is equivalent to a "loaded" Margarita. They are good. The menu includes beer, tequilas, and whiskeys. I suspect that they can make whatever you want, but suffice it to say that if you are there for Mexican and want an appropriate drink... it's available.

Great Mexican... the best around here anyway. We built a home nearby and started visiting. during construction. At first we would say, it's "OK"... as time went on though they improved. Why, I can't say. We were just stopping by because we needed food. We've been here 3+ years and now we enjoy heading over for a nice dinner. I will rate it as GREAT Mexican. Service is, well, great. The folks here work hard, are polite, efficient, etc. The lady who owns it works as hard as anyone you have seen in a Resturant. Expect tho have some excellent chips and salsa. Chips are Freas, hot, crisp, thin. Made on the spot. Salsa is delicious. They are not shy about bringing more so be careful that you don't eat a ton and regret not having room for the main course. They cook it all for you after the order is placed. They are quite fast at it though... The only time we ever waited was during a major fishing tournament on the lake. The place was packed with huge groups and apparently they all showed up at once. The staff was overwhelmed. They apologized and covered the cost of a Texas Margarita each... we left happy, and came back the next week. The menu is extensive, so you can find whatever you like. I've been there enough to tase everything that I would care to try. They seem to be accommodating enough to make off menu items and my wife and I usually order some soft tacos with shredded chicken and avocado slices. That works well with the chips for us. Atmosphere is simple. I'm going to cal it HoJo Mexican. I suppose it's debatable as to whether a Mexican restaurant is better in an old gas station or an old motel. This is the motel variety. It's got some class. It scores high on the Health Department Score and the place is clean and well maintained... Appropriate atmosphere may be the way to describe it. Not forgetting their bar... They serve great margaritas. They serve super "Texas Margaritas". It appears to me that this is simply a drink with more punch. It's worth it. I thought they were great. They serve beer, tequilas, and other spirits. I'm going to presume that they can make anything appropriate (or not) for a Mexican dinner.

Easy access from the Interstate, excellent food, friendly staff. We sat at the outside picnic tables with our dog. The enchiladas verdes and chiles poblano were very tasty. Highly recommended.

Very unique compared to most Mexican restaurants and has great food. The only reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars is that their tortilla chips are awful. Thin, break easily and just plain suck. Everything else is 5 star!
