I had a fantastic dining experience at King Mackerel Seafood and Restaurant in Barnwell, SC! The fried flounder and popcorn shrimp were absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a charming atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating options. The staff was incredibly friendly, and their Southern hospitality made the meal even more enjoyable. I'll definitely be returning for more tasty seafood!

It’s my first time to try King Mackerel and I would say that their food is amazing. Huge size portion & delicious. Their coleslaw is one of the best I’ve ever tasted! Great job King Mackerel!

Burgers were great! My husband loved the naturally made onion rings? and the kids cheeseburger meal was tooo cute!! Prices were ok but they could have been a little better on the drinks especially since you have to buy it separately from the meal.

Buying fresh fish as advertised, waitress won’t be bothered so owner told us to wait, 15 minutes after while standing awkwardly in front of cash register owner came back with some expensive fish who won’t even bother explain what kind of fish are they. The whole car reeks on the way home. We tried cleaning and cooking but house just got filled with rotten ammonia smell. We have to throw it out. Weird look from the waitress and owner seems like quite amuse to find strange newcomers in Barnwell.
Passing through from Walterboro, finally able to stop and eat. Excellent meal, friendliest place you ever imagine. Kid friendly, all of the customers were nice. We will definitely be stopping by again, or just making a special trip to eat there.
