I’ve been living in Beaufort for 1 1/2 years. I’ve dined in all the places here. It took me a minute to get into this place. I now know why. It is exceptional. The food was the best in town. The service was the best in town. The wine selection was the best in town. Make this a stop when you come to Beaufort. Reserve early. The pics don’t do justice to the flavor within. Regret not getting the dessert images.

An amazingly unique and classy place. Perfect for a date night! For those looking to be fed an abundance of mediocre food this is not your place. Quality and unbelievable flavor is served here not “quantity”. Go to the Olive Garden if you think the portions are small. My husband and I drive from FL to have dinner here and Griffin has become a very special place to us. The staff is small and truly feels like a family. The owner is proud and unapologetic over the fact he knows what type of restaurant he has and we love that. You certainly can’t make everyone happy and you shouldn’t have to be sorry for that. I truly believe if you don’t have a great meal here, it’s your fault then. Sorry not sorry. Speaking of all this now….I just might need to take a drive and have a fantastic meal again! This is the type of local one of a kind place every town would be lucky to have.

Too loud outside with terrible singer and music. She needs to hang it up, far gone to be enjoyed while having dinner. Looks and voice..and too loud to hear your conversation.Burger was below average.. not much taste and being a prior chef I’d be ashamed to put that out. Shallow Pattie’s with no depth of taste or seasoning. Lots of bugs outside which can be eliminated from plants and repellent. Jar w pennies doesn’t cut it.

We have wanted to try Griffin Market for a few years (yes, years). We had an Italian exchange student and thought this might be a good taste of home if it was as authentic as we thought it might be. It was an amazing experience. From the interaction from the owner to watching the dinning room interaction it was a great experience.Food: I was delighted. Every appetizer will come to the table and you share it around like a family meal. Everything was amazing and I was left wanting more. Everyone said they were worried about eating too much because they have more courses coming. The portions were perfect. Every dish was cleaned and everyone was full. The flavors were just amazing. Our exchange student said it made her think of going to her grandmother’s house in Sunday. The ox tail was superb and the pastas were in perfect. If you are looking for Olive Garden then go to Olive Garden and don’t complain about real Italian food. Our bill was a little over $500 for 6 people (3 teenagers and 3 adults) and only 3 additional drinks besides water; worth every penny. We will be back for sure.

Griffin Market is a small subtle Italian restaurant hidden away in plain sight in Beaufort. You wouldn’t know it was there unless you were looking for it. They offer a fixed four-course menu that features interesting Italian dishes. Everything was very good and carefully prepared, but it can be challenging to do pre fixe w/ people that have particular tastes, especially if they don’t love seafood. With wine, for two, it was about $220. It was a nice spot for a special occasion.

One of the best dining experiences in Beaufort! Bring your loved ones and have Riccardo walk you through the wine list to find the perfect pairing and price point for your meal. Take the dishes as they come and leave your busy schedule at the door. Relax and enjoy, so delicious!

If you enjoy being lectured to and humiliated while dining, this restaurant is for you. We asked for some olive oil for the four poker chip-sized pieces of bread we were allotted and were informed by the owner that in Italy, olive oil is never served with bread; thus none would be served to us. The food was good but nowhere as memorable as the dressing-down we received. At one point in the meal I thought of asking for pepper but came to my senses when I realized I’d probably be in for another admonishment.
