We’re locals and this has happened to us before- appetizer came out fine but then the meals were horribly spaced out. We get that when you order a pizza, the timing might not be exact, but the pizza came first. After a while, my son’s wings finally came and my meal never made it. Worst part was the server deliberately avoided our table. I had to call him over to have him take my meal off the check. Where’s the customer service? There’s none to be found at Hearth. Suggestion to the owner- train your staff. Dining out is expensive and customers don’t deserve to be treated badly!

We ordered for takeout so I can’t rate the service honestly but we got the fennel sausage pizza which was excellent. I went in to pick up and thought the atmosphere was nice

Took my little sister out for lunch. This is the second time I've been there, we shared a bottle of wine. My sister ordered the eggplant parmesan which was nothing less than the best we ever had next to my dad's. I never thought I would order a pizza with no meat. My sister ordered it for me the first time I was there and I ordered it again. Probably the most amazing Pizza I ever tasted. Hand throne pizza cooked in a stone oven in the middle of the restaurant. The food, the service, the laid-back casual atmosphere was all first class. The next time I'm in Beaufort South Carolina, I'm going to "Hearth Wood Fired Pizza" !!!

The service was good, polite, professional. The food was decent. We had a pepperoni pizza and Caesar salad. I only give it three stars based on my comparison to other woodfired pizza I’ve had, and the salad being unremarkable. But I would return if I’m in Beaufort again and in the mood for pizza

Loved the shroomage pizza. The truffle oil really made it. Server (Lily) was excellent.

Solid Margherita pizza, extra salt on top was a bit odd.

Our first (and last) visit here, on the First Friday in April. We put our names in and were told 45 minutes wait. Fine, we walked around some shops. Came back in 45 minutes, we're told they were waiting for some tables to open up. Maybe 15 more minutes. So, over an hour later, we were finally seated (after we asked twice more about wait time). Server came pretty quickly, took our drink order, finally brought them back (no straws, we had to ask), and took our order (Caprese salad and a Margherita pizza). The "salad" came and consisted of 4 slices of tomato with cheese, and some herbs/oil, no greens, ($9). We waited for our pizza to begin eating, and a server finally brought it. No silverware to eat with, so we had to stop another server to ask for that too. The pizza was, honestly, the worst pizza we've ever had. The edge was alternately burned or underdone while the main part of the pizza was nearly raw and limp. I'm not sure who these people are that claim the crust is crispy throughout, but ours was not. The sauce lacked any flavor, and seemed very much like a canned tomato sauce with no herbs or other flavoring. Very disappointed! We could have saved $30 and bought a frozen pizza and cooked it at home and it would have been 100% better. And while we sat waiting for our order, we noticed the large "painting" hanging on the wall, full of dust like it had been dragged under a bed. Same for the brick oven and it's chimney; filthy and dusty and shameful. Not really sure how the board of health lets them operate with such unsanitary conditions in the restaurant. Pics will give you an idea. Save your$ and eat elsewhere!

Good place to eat with the family. Not the quickest bc they have one small pizza oven, but the food was all good from salad to pizza to the lasagna.

Some of the best wood fired pizza we've ever had and the service was awesome too! The BBQ chicken pizza had fresh (not cooked) red onions and cilantro which was different from what we get back home and super tasty. We got a pizza with garlic oil instead of sauce and topped with fresh arugula, like having your salad on a pizza and quite good. This place knows it's pizza oven too, each one we ordered was perfectly prepared (crunchy, chewy crust with a few charred spots) The only exception was the Hawaiian which could have used more pineapple.. nobody's perfect. Would definitely go back.

The gluten free crust is what you'd expect. However, the pizza arrived basically cold and appeared barely cooked. The bartender/our server was great. Sadly, this was not great pizza. The shrimp and calamari app arrived hot, but needed salt. They were busy, so I get it, but on vacation we really expected more.

I'd go elsewhere. Pizza was poorly made, in which even though there's a fancy brick oven on display, you can literally pull up the entire cheese foundation off the crust with each slice. Meatballs were overcooked and dry. The burrata salad my girlfriend told me was from grocery store mozzarella that was over refrigerated previously. Like, we had 3 great meals in Beaufort at Bull Tavern and Black Sheep and even Dockside and this one we were nauseous when we left, and had regretted not just going to the Outback at 9:30pm when we needed somewhere to eat on the later side. Server was nice enough, but I didn't see one person over the age of 25-30 working there (including making the pizza) so who knows who I would have even complained to about the quality of food.
