We went there with but we didn't eat. Was not anything on the menu we would really wanted. Look like the beer selection was good. The place is really dark but I bet that's why they call it. Hemingways it would it would remind you somewhere he would hang

Cool little dive bar located at the waterfront. Staff is welcoming and friendly. We heard about the amazing Bloody Mary's they serve and stopped by to try. Unfortunately, we were highly disappointed. It was blahhh, lacking in quality and flavor and the olives/pepperoni taste old and stale.

Best Dive Bar!! There is an art to creating the whole Dive Bar experience. Enter here from the alley to the back basement, low ceiling with small cozy inside and spacious outside options. Dollars tacked to the ceiling beams, hand-lettered signs tacked up randomly and best of all a Great Bartender with an attitude. I had driven into town late on a Monday and was fortunate to find Hemingways and some very good whisky -- Maker's Mark hit the spot along with a bag of chips -- I'm easy. Bartender Zoe was straight up about some of the signs (see my photos), helpful about parking for the next 2 days, and can chat effortlessly with all of us. The dollars tacked everywhere were reminiscent of KeyWest and Memphis dive bars and the late hours fill a void. I look forward to returning.

Without a doubt the coolest spot on Bay St. CT was cool and one of the owners was there and was very cool too. If you want to have a cold beer or a good mixed drink and cool conversation with the locals this is the place. I can't wait to come back now.

On a Tuesday not crowded but is no indication of the food quality. We ordered everything from hotdogs to daily specials, party of five. Good service, good food, really cold beer and the ac was at the perfect setting on a 95 degree day. Very comfortable and not a " stuffy " place to relax.

Tucked away on the waterfront. Friendly staff and customers in a small pub like setting. This was open when a lot of other places had closed for the July 4 holiday.

Don't come here looking for an Ernest Hemingway bar experience like in Key West or Havana. Came in and asked for a Mojito or a Daiquiri, and the barserver looked at me like I was crazy. I said well isn't this Hemingway's, thinking to raise at least an air of recognition or at least a smile. The party coldly replied that the bar was not named for the famous author, and I suspect may not have even been aware of who one of America's most famous and celebrated authors and drinkers was. And the drinks were lousy to boot. A once and only experience for sure, with regrets. Too bad. Since we came for the bar, the food items, if any were available, were not our concern, and nothing to talk about one way or another in that area.
