Service was great, I always love an open kitchen. Food started off great and ended weak. Hard to argue with $2 oysters which were prepped well. Steamed bun was simple and delicious. They had a spicy wahoo roll on special, rice was undercooked and underseasoned, wahoo came out plain instead of spicy and the cuts that were used were not prepped well, it had ALOT of ligament in it, hard to justify spending $30 per roll. I want to give it another go sometime soon, maybe the sushi guy wasn’t on his game.

Don’t come here unless you have money to burncharged us 30$ for two globs of wasabi and 24$ for a half dozen of oysters, stupid expensive, not worth it!!!(edited) the only reason we’re upset is because our server didn’t tell us how expensive the wasabi was and i was well aware of how much the oysters were. if i knew the wasabi was gonna be that expensive i wouldn’t have got it in the first place. thanks for telling us we’re poor.

Warm welcoming restaurant with outstanding menu and amazing food. The sushi is excellent and the grill side has something for everyone! Desserts are exquisite. Highly recommended as one of the best restaurants in Beaufort.

Banh mi pork belly sandwich was out of this world!!! Menu has quite a variety extending far beyond a what you'd think of at a typical raw bar, so I need to explore some of their other offerings. Outstanding food and just a really nice overall experience. Well worth a visit!Update: I've been back for lunch several times. Lobster Roll and Tuna Melt are also amazing! Other dishes I see come out of the kitchen also look very tempting. As a foodie, I'm definitely a fan of this place!

I rarely write reviews of restaurants but I have to write one for locals Raw Bar. It is fantastic! Great staff, great service, great food. My GF wife had the GF fried chicken and it was devine. I had the cabbage pancake just because it was such an unusual entry and it was delicious. We’ll go back in a day or two and hope they still have the local fresh-caught tuna. If you’re anywhere near Beaufort, eat here.

It's a bit tucked-away, but well worth the search. Has a very creative menu and the dishes are reasonably-priced for the quality. Great place to take a group and order a number of dishes to share! Their only sin is that they were the only place within 45 miles that had Bánh mì sandwiches, but they are now discontinued ;(
This is my second time at this restaurant. I'd go every week if I lived closer. Last week we had the Nashville hot chicken and of course, the sushi. It was delicious!! I followed Chef Hunter from Herons in Cary NC. The only 5 star restaurant in the Raleigh area that I know of. He has brought his expert cooking and plating skills to his own restaurant in Beaufort SC. I think the sushi is the freshest I've ever had. Chef Hunter and his wife Jessie have really done a great job with the open kitchen concept, great service and excellent food and cocktails. This will be my go to restaurant when I'm in the area! Looking forward to enjoying the outdoor seating this spring and summer.

I was a first time visitor early today, and absolutely LOVED the experience! The unpretentious and relaxed atmosphere belies a really extraordinary menu. Creative, fresh, and incredibly delicious, I believe this is now Beaufort’s finest restaurant. My friends had sushi selections and said they were excellent. I had the cabbage pancake and can’t describe how delicious it was. Just try it…you won’t regret it!The servers were top notch and we were especially impressed that they were careful to ask about any food allergies.Note that this is not a large restaurant so go early. They do not take reservations.Highly, highly recommend!Parking: Parking lot with free parking right in front of restaurantWheelchair accessibility: No steps

I will not go back. It was 40 degrees outside and very cold inside. My wife and I kept our coats and hats on. For as much as they charged for the food they could have had the restaurant a comfortable temperature. There was a large yellow light on the wall that kept going off and on. They were out of shrimp because they forgot to order more. It was certainly not the first experience I was hoping for.
