My wife and I had brunch there today, 3.23.24. We had the pleasure of beginning waited on by Sophia and Hattie. Sophia was our server. Despite being quintuple seated (she had five tables in her area seated back to back) she kept a smile on her face and did her utmost to attend to us. She has a great professional personality. She is a college student and whoever hires her after she finishes school will get a great employee.Hattie was the food-runner, who brought us our orders. I watched her long before she came to our table. In athletic terms, this woman is a beast. Despite her petite appearance she was fast and pleasant. Professional athletes should go to Red Rooster just to observe what grit looks like. I certainly hope that Red Rooster is to paying her wages according production and not her high school age. She is a professional.In this present day of mediocrity, these two women represent the best of our society in terms of professionalism and spirit. I hope Red Rooster realizes who they have in their employment.

The jalapeño cornbread was the best cornbread we have ever had - melts in your mouth with a little kick. Peach tea was delicious! Fried green tomatoe BLT was fantastic. All our food was amazing. Service was good. Only complaint was the bathroom was a mess with paper towels all over the floor.

Everything was excellent except the table of young marines that were very loud and vulgar and wouldn't stop. It was only 2 of 10 but still it upset us and alot of other patrons. Management should have stepped in. But otherwise, we had a wonderful server, the food was great!! I will return to this establishment ?

We were excited to check out this cafe and on arrival we were told a 45 min wait. While waiting we saw another couple get sat at an outside table. So I asked the hostess if we could get an outside table. She said there's some and asked if we wanted an outside table. And I said, if we can get sat now then yes. And she said, well "it's only for a select few, so no. It'll still take the 45 min".Wow ? I'm guessing they don't need our patronage. See ya later red rooster cafe, we won't be back to try again.

I really enjoyed my fried combo flounder and shrimp with homemade chips and slaw. My Dad loved his regular order of fried oysters, and Mom says their oyster stew is one of the best she's had. My brother enjoyed his burger with a fried egg, hash browns casserole, and bagel. Service was good, fairly busy for lunch, so understandable that it took a while for our order to come out.
