Sitting outside with a river view was nice, but we would never return. Service was spotty and non-attentive. The kitchen was a complete mess. It took 30 minutes to get a half-dozen oysters to our table. Our dinner entree of Shrimp & Grits came out a full 20 minutes before our other entree of Sushi. Obviously understaffed & overwhelmed for a Monday night. The manager did at least respond with a partial credit on the bill.

Upscale atmosphere, comfortable bar, good food. However, they’re using some horrible smelling product to clean or wipe the bag and it’s stinky which is not a nice accompaniment to eating. Ick. The bartenders were very distracted with regulars and the other staff. We had to get their attention at every stage of the meals. The food runners literally dump the plates in front of you and run away as fast as possible. It felt like a diner environment.

Love this place! It is upscale but not stuffy. Th outdoor patio is gorgeous and the indoor space is airy and welcoming. The bartenders are first rate and the food is outstanding. Definitely the best overall dining experience in Beaufort!

This place has to be the best in Beaufort (based on my extensive knowledge of one whole day spent visiting! ?). The most amazingly fresh seafood - extensive cocktail and beer options and we sat outside in the sun. Nights don’t get much better than this one at Saltus! We were lucky enough to be there for soft shell crab season. YUM!Parking: Parking wasn’t an issue for us - we did have to refill our meter 2 hours in. NBD

Our server, Devon, was exceptional. She was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable of the menu. The food was fresh, excellent and on point. Try the shrimp & grits or the mahi. So good! The location is absolutely ideal to watch the various activities. We sat near the bar and there were some clear ‘pick up' situations going on with at least 3 couples. That created some awkward situations and possible concerns.

for the very first time in years, I was disappointed.. I took my visiting cousin and her partner there for dinner. our caesar salads were so bland and disappointing, I should have sent them back. the curried mussels were very good but almost too heavy. her partners swordfish was very light on the swordfish portion and heavy on the veggies under the fish. Our server was excellent but sadly, that did not make up the lack of excellence in the meal for all, I would have given Saltus a 10 in the past but last night's dinner was a 7.5 to an 8 at best.

The service was good and appropriately attentive. The atmosphere was pleasant with a nice view of the bay. The food lacked presentation and taste. We ordered crab bisque that tasted fine but lacked presentation. The worst was my Malbec Poached Pear salad with an add on of shrimp. The pears were soggy, limp and had a strong cinnamon taste. The overall presentation of the salad was more than lackluster. The dressing had no taste. My husband said his tuna nachos were ok but that he could have done a better job. We don't recommend this restaurant.

Very good food very good service. Very good atmosphere - if I was looking at anything to complain about, it would be the à la cart pricing for example, broccolini that cost eight dollars.

Everything was great except for noise level, which was off the charts. I was barely able to communicate with the 3 other people at our table. That's not what I was hoping for in a fine dining restaurant. Not sure I would go

Saltus Grill is lovely restaurant right on the water in downtown Beaufort. We had a delicious meal there starting with great appetizers of tuna nachos, oysters and spring rolls. The service was excellent and the waitress couldn't have been nicer. I would highly recommend it!
