We have been to this restaurant many times for lunch but wanted to try for dinner and drinks at the outdoor bar. Unfortunately the band cancelled so they decided to close the outside bar. We were seated at an inside table and had an awesome waitress. The food was great as usual but there was a group at an adjacent table that were extremely loud. Every other seated table had to talk loud just to hear the others in their group which made the room even louder. It was impossible to hear anyone speaking and then other people came in that the loud group knew and they started moving tables and chair ls together to accommodate everyone. The sound was deafening and got even louder with even more people. This was not the atmosphere that we expected at this restaurant.

Food was great! However, the interior of the restaurant could use some better ventilation in the kitchen. Our eyes were burning from the kitchen fumes which outweighed the enjoyability of our dining experience. Outside seating would've been better.

We came on a relatively quiet Sunday. The food was very good and the service was excellent. We sat inside but could hear the patio musicians clearly. We won't sit outside because the musician(s) is/are just too loud for such a small area. The outside sound level is the only thing I would change

We have always enjoyed the food and live music here! Chicken Brine sandwich and grilled tuna are some of our favorites

If you want to just go on a date or take a group, you will get the best service ever. The food, drinks, and staff are top notch. A fun place to go. Calhoun Street Tavern also does a great Job giving back to the community. Thank you Calhoun Street for your great service and Supporting the Sun City Womens Nine Hole Charity. You are the Best.!

Food was greasy and sloppy... Very thrown together. Service was excellent. Price was excellent. Atmosphere is standard for a gastropub.

Service was terrible. No silverware. No napkins, meal came before drinks! Server was missing, bar tender had to deliver drinks after we asked for them a water.atmosphere was lovely. Food was mediocre. We order a $36 steak that came on a dish that didn't fit it.

I had a party of 2. Once we were seated we got waters from the host. After 15-20 mins not one waiter came up to take our drinks/order or even greet us. I am very disappointed as it was not busy at all. There were 2 tables that already had their food and one table that sat after us. We also saw a waiter drop off a check to another table and didnt even bother to acknowledge us. So there is no excuse on why we weren’t greeted by a waiter. We are not hard customers as we already knew what we wanted to order. Since we didn’t get any service we left with no problem and got food elsewhere.

Love the Calhoun Street Travern. The drinks, food and service were fantastic -- particularly our waitress Linda who was not only knowledgeable about the offerings at the Tavern, but the culture and history of Old Towne Bluffton. The Mama's Mac-n-Cheese was as good as it gets, as were the crab cakes. The also featured a large array of outstanding bourbons, including Weller Reserve.

Food served is a level above bar foods, more like "hearty cuisine". Great selection of spirits. French dip & pickled chicken sandwiches. Skip the chips & get the slaw.

Ordered during happy hour and they argued about the charges. Finally got the bill fixed. Got served the wrong wine and they blamed me because "I should have known." Awful!!!!

Our server was fun and attentive, the cocktails were on-point, and the food lived up to the Southern comfort promise. Check out the shrimp and grits!

Food is always great! Only issue is that because the restaurant is so small and it's an open kitchen, you smell like food when you leave. But we live the food so it's worth it and sit outside when the weather permits
