This is a tough one, because the food is top notch. Unfortunately, the atmosphere isn't and the prices are considerably higher than comparable restaurants in the area.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Hilton Head / Bluffton!!! The wait staff is top notch, the food is amazing and the drinks are delicious. Desserts are homemade and you must save room for the chess pie. You will not be disappointed!!

We arrived at Pour Richard's at 8:15PM on 11/29/23 (their website said they closed at 9:30PM) and WERE TURNED AWAY because they said they were short staffed. We were a party of two and there were several others already having dinner. How about... allowing us to choose from a limited menu? Or a sign on the door? Or just shutting down? --- why were others eating dinner and why were we turned away? Bad business. Will never return and hope that others read this review.

This place would be amazing if you only judged it by their food. BUT the service is super friendly and puts it over the top! Even though we're only in 2-3 times a year, it always feels like we're treated as regulars. HIGHLY recommend.

We went to dinner on Saturday night and have frequented the restaurant many times over the years. We thought the food was excellent as usual but has become overpriced for what was served. We had good service, no complaints. I did not appreciate the upcharge for large ice cubes as well as the fee to pay with a credit card.

This restaurant was highly recommended, so we decided to check it out. The atmosphere was not inviting but thought if the food was good it would be worth a try. Also very pricy. My husband ordered the rib eye steak ($64), very mediocre. I ordered blackened grouper which was way overcooked and not much seasoning on it. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!! Also the restaurant was very empty which should have been a clue.

Finally made a reservation for dinner. Our server Leah was phenomenal going over the menu and guiding us in the right direction. I went with the dry aged ribeye. Absolutely fabulous! We were all pleased with our meals and service. Wish we would have come sooner but we’ll definitely return on a regular basis.
This week my family and I decided to give Pour Richard's a try after hearing some good things. Upon arrival we realized they don't post menus online because the food is "seasonal" but in reality they just don't want people seeing the prices. We decided to stay anyway because they must be making fantastic food if they charge 60-100 dollars a plate....wow were we wrong. Not only was the food nothing special... it was actually bad. The 80 dollar steak tasted very similar to a 15 dollar grocery store cut and other entrees made you left wondering why didn't I walk out when they charged me for water at the start. If you and your family are deciding between Pour Richards and McDonald's... just know the only difference is McDonald's doesn't sell T-shirts off the wall.

Went there last night on a friends recommendation and had a great time. Lia, our waitress was fantastic and impeccably explained the dishes. The French onion soup was incredible, and the crab cake, short rib and the salmon small bites were delicious. Great place, great food and great people hidden right off Bluffton Parkway. Can't wait to go back!

This was the best birthday dinner I've ever had! The restaurant was nothing like I expected! It was small but cozy, warm, inviting, exciting, friendly, and the food was damn good. For my budget, a special occasion place for sure! But if you've never been and are curious, call for a reservation and check it out. Go in anticipating the very best and leave being more satisfied than you can imagine! I'll be back!
