This was one of our best dining experiences ever. Everything we ate was delicious! The she crab soup was thick and had a slight sweetness that was nice. The beet salad was very well balanced and refreshing. My husband even liked it, and he doesn't like beets. They used dark leaves for the Ceasar salad love + anchovies on top, which we loved. The scallops were some of the most succulent I've ever had. He really enjoyed his filet mignon. And the lobster mac n cheese was creamy dreamy.Drinks & dessert were tasty. Our serverJackson was very kind, attentive, & knowledgeable of all the dishes. We will be back next time we're in Charleston!

Great atmosphere and location. Food was quite good and a nice selection. All seafood was fresh and made to order not mass produced. I prefer an entree with a vegetable versus all a la carte but just my preference. Service was great.

This was our second time coming to Anson and both times did not disappoint! The food, service, and ambience is everything you want when you come to a restaurant. I wish every restaurant did things just as good as they do. The dessert was even amazing- we had the duck fat apple Streusel and pecan pie… SO YUMMY!!

Went expecting excellence but only got pretty good. One of my oysters had a whiff of ammonia while the other five were superb. Staff didn’t seem to care. Shrimp and grits were good but nothing special. Apple strudel was served hot with ice cream-excellent! Restaurant seems to have lost a step.

The Anson is an old favorite of ours when we go to Gaillard for a concert. It's at a perfect distance between our home and Gaillard and we always enjoy our pre-concert dinner there. The service is great and we enjoy a leisurely dinner that is perfectly timed for our walk. We always start with their generous cocktails-me a martini and husband a boulevardier. Last night we enjoyed she-crab soup, burrata baby beet salad, bucatini lobster, snapper, salmon, Sauvignon Blanc and concluded with a delicious chocolate dessert! Everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection with all the dish temps perfect. Since it was just a couple of days to my birthday, I received a dessert plate decorated with very yummy chocolate, whipped cream and fresh berries! I have not one negative thing to say about this wonderful restaurant! We always sit upstairs in the elegantly decorated dining room. Many thanks to The Anson for a truly memorable dinner!

Was seated at a table upstairs in one of the smaller rooms, it was perfect! A little less noise and not so much hustle and bustle going on. Our entrees were very good. I had the Salmon, which was cooked perfectly. Husband had the Crispy Flounder and said it was very good, and he's not a big fish eater! We finished off our night with dessert. We shared a Chocolate Hazelnut Cake which was divine! Looking forward to our next visit!

Dodd was great! We had salads, steak, snapper and the pecan pie. Highly recommend. Upstairs is less noisy than downstairs but a couple of big tables were cranking. Didn't deter much from a wonderful meal. Would definitely recommend and return.

Great vibe, loved the atmosphere. Our waiter, Peter, was excellent. The food was also excellent... delicious and attractive on the plate. For the price we thought the servings would be larger.
