Busy spot with a great atmosphere. (If it's been you know it's good) A little wait but so worth it. Coffee & brunch drinks were excellent. The sandwich I had was phenomenal. Excellent meal.Recommended!

Amazing decor, coffee was excellent with a variety of mimosas. The biscuits and gravy were to die for! The chicken and waffles absolutely sucked. You could taste baking soda/powder in the waffles. The pecan butter tasted like pecans mixed with lard and sugar...disgusting without any butter/lacked even butter flavor. The syrup lacked even more flavor. The chicken was just a slightly coated too large tender... not crispy and also with no flavor. Skip the chicken and waffles...go straight to the biscuits and gravy...and coffee.

Pictured is the pimento cheese fries. Best thing we ate, the entrees were lacking. I loved this place on Folly and JI too but this one is severely lacking. Monday morning breakfast and the service was not good, our drinks were empty more than full. And the servers only came to table to drop off food and the check. Unfortunately the food wasn’t anything to write home about either. Would not recommend to a friend, unfortunately.

Came here for brunch the other day with a friend and we had the best time!! This cafe is so incredibly cute, it has a total home-y, beach feel and I loved it!! We didn't have any trouble getting a table on a Sunday, but we got there quite early and they were staring to fill up as we were leaving. I got the fried chicken biscuit, which was SO good. It was an open face presentation because they're very generous with the sausage gravy! Loved the pimento cheese/honey combo, really different and good! I also got the almond joy latte which was creamy and coconuty and delicious! Would have loved to try the sausage pancakes since that sounded like a fun combo, but I didn't have the stomach space! Service was fast and friendly! I would love to come back here if I'm in Charleston again

Definitely deceiving from the outside. Charming inside and extremely helpful staff. Food was delicious and portions were plentiful. I had the Tuscan omelette while the others I was with had the chicken salad and grilled chicken sandwiches. We all enjoyed our meals and just loved this place.

Always reliable, and food is great! It's close our house. Love the brunch. Wait times can be a little long but worth it normally. Definitely recommend.

We came here several months ago from the other side of town and the food was decent but service was terribly slow. Took over two hours between waiting in the parking lot for a table and then waiting for our food. Decided to give it another try today because we thought they maybe had a bad day last time. Checked online to make sure they were open and online it says open until 3. Drove all the way across town and walked in just after 12. Stood around for 5 minutes or so waiting on a hostess. When she finally walked up she told us they closed at 12 today and weren’t taking any more customers (they had plenty of people still eating). Won’t be back. It’s just not worth the hassle and frustration.

Had a great time! I work at a brunch place and I get the struggle of finding employees rn but this place had such good service! I could tell everyone was working as a team and it came through in the food and service we got. I had the rosé latte and it was incredible. I then got the huevos rancheros and loved it. It was plenty to eat and tasted great. I was worried about a wait since the parking was full but it took less than 10 minutes for us to get seated and get the drinks we wanted. This is the place for brunch and a good time. I was worried because of some recent reviews but it’s all about your attitude :)

Ordered takeout- a simple egg sandwich and an iced latte. Iced latte was perfect! Food was another story. The sausage was pretty bad- seems like a cheap frozen patty. The fruit had an orange slice with the peel on (weird!) and a bad strawberry. The gluten free bread was good, but I ended up eating only the egg and bread since the rest was unappetizing.I’d give the food another chance if the kitchen upped the quality and standards. For over $20 spent, it was not worth it.

LOVE this place. Two friends and I were looking for a breakfast/brunch spot in West Ashley when I came to visit, and Black Magic popped up on the map. Super busy, but we didn't have to wait long, and the food is amazing. I'll definitely be back.

Food was decent and fast to table after order. That was the only good thing. Hostest was rude at best. Wanted a table for 5 and they would not put 2 tables together. She said i told you 1hr and 15 so you'll just have to wait. Tried to get cup if coffee at walk-up bar - That took 25 minutes. Tables sat empty with trash on them for 30 minutes. No urgency to seat paying customers. She finally sat us at a corner table that had been available for at least an hour. I know, because I saw it when we first walked in. If you have 3 hours to kill stop in fora long wait

Food was bad and they will tell you that you can take the risk parking in the lot next door DONT DO IT. Don't fall for that. They're desperate for customers and they don't care at all when you get towed, AND when the towing company damages your vehicle! All of this would have been worth it at least for a good meal but it was trash. They couldn't even get the food out on time and I'm honestly not surprised at the fake customer service. Stop being brats and fix your parking or your own business. Stop blaming it on the other owner. Your chicken was so tough and hard by the time I could bite off a piece so much was stuck in my perfectly dentist cleaned teeth. GROSS.

This is a delicious breakfast snd brunch spot. Something for everyone. They have savory as well as sweet eats. Healthy and decadent. They get really busy do go early or expect a wait. One of my favorite brunch spots in town!

Hubby and I came here for breakfast this morning. The cafe is cute, clean, and the staff were friendly. We got there right after they opened and were able to sit right down (there was only one other table of people). Staff aren't wearing masks (which is fine with us- just an FYI for others). We ordered black coffees, the folly mess, and the french toast. The coffee was strong and dark which was perfect. The food came out pretty quickly. I only had one bite of the folly mess because the sauce on top was spicy and tasted heavily of cilantro (which I don't like, so no points against them for that). Hubby ate everything on the plate but wished for more potatoes and another egg. I was disappointed in the french toast- it was really heavy on the cinnamon which made certain bites bitter. The fruit was nice to have and the syrup was 100% necessary since the toast itself wasn't sweet at all. Texturally it was good, even on the croissant. We're big breakfast people, so this meal was just ok. We might go back eventually and try other items.

LOVED THIS SPOT! On my way out to Magnolia's Plantation we stopped here for breakfast and it was the best breakfast of my entire trip to Charleston.
