Wow! Shocked to see this place is closed. I was just here for Thanksgiving. Business was super slow but, it's covid and thanksgiving. I asked the hostess about the parking lot, since the meters were broken. The hostess told me, "I can't tell you to park in the lot but I am telling you no one checks the lot". Ooook so I stayed in the lot for free. But I guess, beware. I ordered the thanksgiving dinner with smoked turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and green beans. I also ordered their specialty sangria. The entire meal was lackluster. It was served cool. Not lukewarm, cool. I ate what I could and decided to get out of there. The sangria was so weak and I figured out why when I saw how they were making the cocktails. They had a nice patio out back which is next to the parking lot. Thanks for being open for Thanksgiving and it's unfortunate to see that they've closed.

Are there the last day they were open. We were lucky. Shrimp and grits and fresh oysters. If only Magnolia was as good. You’ll be missed.

Evening dinner last night. The mood and decor are very quaint and lovely. The service by Joel was top notch, he made every effort to make sure our rowdy group was happy and full. I ordered the braised short ribs and substituted the grits for the mashed potatoes. The drinks are pretty pricey but it's Charleston so it's what you expect. I would have loved a little more non-seafood appetizer options. Bread would be a nice touch as well.

Good southern style food , friendly service , good value wine choices.

Oysters were great. Nice outdoor patio.Entrees were good but not amazing. Maybe we went on a bad night because we waited 30 minutes from being seated before we received anything but water. It was a Thursday in October so maybe they were having staffing issues but the service was incredibly slow.I'd consider going back to give them another shot.

We had a great experience at Blossom! The food was good but our server Joel was excellent! He was so fun and made us feel right at home. Make sure you ask for him when you go!

First trip to Charleston and made reservations for a birthday celebration for a party of 5 very excited to eat here because of the great reviews. We arrived 15 min lates due to traffic and not being able to find parking. Hostess was very nasty and said they gave our table away. We said but we are only 15 min late (usually restaurants have a grace period) and she responded “16 actually” then she said “let me see what I could do”. So we waited and she came back and refused to acknowledge us. We would have waited for a table if she had a better attitude but we decided we didn’t even want to give them our business if that was how they treated customers.

This was our first time to Blossom. Our reservation was at five and we got there early and were able to enjoy some happy hour drinks. The bartender was so nice made our drinks quick and then 5 o’clock came and we were seated at our table. My first impression was the location downtown was amazing. Everybody we encountered there from the bartender to the hostess to the Wait staff were so kind and nice. Our server was top notch didn’t catch her name. We ordered two appetizers and split a salad. Oysters and fried green tomatoes. She brought us the oysters to enjoy first and then she took that away. She then brought us the fried green tomatoes that we both shared we finished it and she took it away. She then brought us our salad that we split we finished it she took it away. Often at many restaurants when we order a few appetizers they bring everything together this was a whole different experience that I loved. We got to enjoy every bite and have amazing conversation. Then for dinner I had the Maui Maui and my husband had the blue crab ravioli. The food all definitely tasted homemade and fresh. The appetizers were each around $15 and each meal was around $30 not bad. I would’ve gave this restaurant a five star but everybody has room for improvement not sure what this restaurant is because I had a great experience and will definitely be back. Oh no we did not do a walk and we had a reservation just a note.

We visit Charleston several times in a year, and despite so many restaurants in this town, think we've been to Blossom (and Slightly North of Broad, across the street) more than any other. Honestly, think alot of that has to do with convenience (easy parking). BTW, Blossom's sister restaurant, Magnolia (right next door) is equally, if not more amazing. I've always preferred Blossom's more casual, laid back vibe though. Tonight, we agreed to do patio dining since the weather was nice...and of course, always a smarter option to avoid dining indoors during this pandemic. And Yes, this restaurant had all the typical Covid precautions in place.Unfortunately, the patio area was surprisingly small (not TOO Covid-friendly?), but it was nice and somewhat romantic. The sad part was that at least for the first 30 minutes, some kids robbed us from some of that romance. Think there was a birthday group behind us, and some of the kids were quite loud and annoying. Fortunately, things got quieter. Now the Food!! I ordered their Special Scallops of the Day, and my husband ordered Cornmeal Fried Shrimp...and think he was jealous of my choice. My Scallops dish came with Grits, Sausage, and even Corn...and it was FABULOUS!!! We also ordered Vanilla Creme Brûlée, which came with a small Ginger Snap Cookie. Delicious and very generously sized, but I wondered why such a small cookie?? It would have been nice if there were at least 2-3 cookies on top. Maybe I'm just greedy?? I might also be a tad spoiled when it comes to Creme Brûlée, but the consistency seemed a bit uneven. Again, it was delicious, so no big thing, but I thought it COULD have been better. Our waitress was very polite, and did her best to accommodate our requests. Just like their foods, service has always been reliable...that is, I can't think of a time when I had an issue here.Overall, we really enjoyed our meal here...even on their small patio, with some loud kids! There's a reason why we keep returning to Blossom... the food is always solid, service is good, and there's a certain level of comfort driving right into their adjacent parking lot!
