More than positive I just got kicked out of Charleston Beerworks in downtown Charleston for my race. I wasn’t drunk nor was I even unruly. All I did was sit down at the bar and ask for a menu and the white old guy behind the bar told me I couldn’t be there without giving me a reason why I couldn’t be. Mind you, there was 4 other white people at this bar, I was the only one of color. This is my second time there, my first being last night but I was waited on by someone else (he wasn’t there tonight) and my experience was just fine… I really just don’t understand the problem, all I was trying to do was get my order of wings and go home!?

Nice place…cool logo, I bought shirts. Not a big mixed drink guy, but the “bramble on” was killer. Friendly staff, place was immaculate.

Cool place for local beers. Friendly service, decent menu of mostly fried foods. It’s what you’d expect but with a friendlier staff

Fabulous selection of local beers and a terrific service in the patio bar on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

Showed employees several times the student discount (Charleston School of Law) advertised on our school bulletin wall, yet I get completely disrespected each time I show the picture as if I made it up.

We had the best experience at this place. Specifically, DAVE was AWESOME! We had a terrible time at a previous bar and he did everything in his power to turn the night around. We had reasonably priced drinks and had a great time.

Great place and the food was just right. Burgers are freshly made and not frozen beef patties. Dave the bartender is amazing. Definitely will visit again when in the area.

It took 45 minutes to get a side of fries and 6 bone in wings, the drinks were disgusting, the food was disgusting and there was no meat at all on 2 of the 6 wings. Last stop before leaving Charleston in the morning and we should've just gone to bed.

Charleston Beer Works was the best place we have ate in Charleston in a long time! We visit Charleston frequently and the food and the service was, hands down, the best in the city! Dave, the bartender, made the experience A+++, he was very knowledgeable and so very helpful and friendly! He went above and beyond to make everything perfect! The pimento cheese was sooo good! They definitely should sell it to-go! The Arrogant burger with fries and the Cackalacky Cuban was soooo amazing! The drinks were perfect! There wasn't a single thing I would change about this amazing restaurant!
