Delightful crabhouse right by Market St. We were seated upstairs and loved the ambiance. Started with hush puppies, which are definitely a must! They come with honey butter. We also shared the shrimp with grits and cheese along with the shrimp po boy. Both dishes were terrific. Although, the po boy was a little small for the price.

The Charleston Crab House was great I got the low country shrimp boil. The shrimp tasted fresh and was seasoned well. The sausage was very good and so was the sweet tea. The prices are pretty high but if you get shrimp it will be a lot cheaper than crab.

I am from MD, and I have come to the conclusion that you cannot compare seafood between the two states. So saying all of that, the crab house has the best seafood (with fleet landing) here in downtown charleston. We got a whole bunch of steam pots (which is what they are known for) along with a couple sandwiches. It was good. The prices are solid here for what you get, no complaints there. The drinks are also good. The service is outstanding. The best I've seen here by a mile. For that reason alone going to give Crab House 5 stars. Give it a try if you want seafood, I don't think you will regret it.

This place has ruined me forever and eating a hush puppy anywhere else for the rest of my life. Served with honey butter, I almost had the urge to roll around in them they were so so good. And that's just the hush puppies. Well not a seafood fan, I did get the chicken fingers which had the most amazing wedding on the outside I just couldn't put my finger on it but they were wonderful. I also had very nicely seasoned lima beans and grits. The grits in Charleston I am told our special and made a certain way and made with yellow corn not white corn. Being a grits fan whether they are savory or sweets I can eat them every day in Charleston. My wife and I had a great experience here. We brought a couple of fish from a charter that we went on and they prepared them perfectly. It was truly some of the best fish we’ve ever had.The young man who was working as the host (on Tuesday 4/9) was very attentive, seated us right away and took our fish to the kitchen. Our waitress was also great.The food came out quickly and everything was very fresh. Great operation they have at this location. Keep up the good work!
