We were excited to have fresh seafood while in Charleston and this fell completely short. Calamari was slimy and not firm with breading not browned and falling off, no flavor. Scallops were small, also didn't taste fresh. The fries were good, but they were completely out of ketchup. Even the server said, 'I'm not sure how that happened'. Loud atmosphere, crowded tables. It took awhile to be acknowledged, but once we were, our server was good.

Looking for a casual dining experience in downtown Charleston and came upon Coast, which is nestled in an alleyway. We went in and were quickly greeted and sat down. The atmosphere was cool, and there were plenty of date nights happening. I ordered the surf and turf with blackened salmon and ribeye which tasted good. My wife ordered the catch of the day and said it could use more flavor. Old fashioned drink was 8/10.

Excellent atmosphere tucked in a little alley. Our waitress was amazing and helped with recommendations. Drinks and food came out timely. Mojitos tasted great and The crab dip was a fun start. I got the crab stuffed flounder for dinner which tasted fresh. Price point vs quality was A++. Special thanks to the manager Andres for coming over and checking on us which added a special touch to a great meal.

We had the most amazing dinner here. From the happy hour bartenders to the chef helping us make our dinner choices, this place went above and beyond to make our evening memorable. An additional special shout out to the bartender at “the smallest bar in Charleston” for just being an awesome person. Do not miss this place!

From meeting the general manager Andres Contreras, and the service from our waitress Natalie my sister and I had an exceptional meal. The food was delicious and it was a fun experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The wood grilled fish was the highlight. Oysters were great with locals the favorite. Prices are reasonable and a great wine list with many special wines at reasonable prices. Ambiance was nice and staff friendly.

Food was awesome our server did not understand what service meant, Bread usually arrives with your water or right after order has been placed, I gave my order and was specific that I wanted the corn bread on the side of the dish as it was explained to me that it was under the Etouffe sauce with the protein on the top, I again stated I want the fish on top of the sauce and the cornbread on the side, it arrived delivered by another server and when our waitress asked how everything was I told her it was not what I had ordered and she told me that they don't read in the kitchen, I have worked in kitchens on the expediting and the line, if she knew they don't read she should have walked in and told them to read her order, I complemented to the chefs working the line when left and my gratuity reflected the service received by my waitress

food was amazing, the shrimp and chicken fettuccine was 10/10 and the house oysters were delicious. It was a bit loud and hard to find. the decorations were a bit overdone and cheesy in my opinion. overall food was good so experience was 4/5

We had a party of 6 and our food came out all at different times. I ordered the tuna and the rice was soaked in soy sauce and the tuna was overly covered with sauce. It was so salty that I couldn't even eat it. Not worth the money at all.

We love Coast but this dining experience was not good. Service was non-existent and the restaurant was not busy at the time we were there. Our Server seemed disinterested in our table and our experience. Love this restaurant and hoping this is not the new norm.

Service was great from the time we walked in the door. The hostess was friendly and welcoming. Our server was top notch ... I wish we remembered his name. We had one of the fish specials. It was very good. The veggie side was pretty bland but not anything to take away from our rating. Oysters and blue cheese slaw were good. The buffalo shrimp appetizer was great. We had a dessert that was thin strips of Granny Smith apples (like fries). We really enjoyed this. It was good without being super sweet.

Calamari appetizer was good. The rest of the meal was... not so good. Had fried shrimp with oily French fries. Not a fan of the blue cheese coleslaw. Service was ok. Server was too busy with other tasks to give us much attention. Won't go back.
